Night has fallen, the only light in the Shostakov house coming from the soft lamps that litter the hallways and rooms. Alexei stands in the foyer, slipping his arm through his coat and pulling on a pair of thin black leather gloves. It's unclear right off the bat where he's headed, but he at least makes sure to pocket his case for his cigars.
"I need you to stay here, Собачка." He says to John, sparing him a small glance. He knows his personal guard won't be happy to hear that he's being made to stay home.

John Walker stood stiffly in the doorway of the foyer, leaned against the frame. He took his job of guarding very seriously, blue eyes flicking toward the entrance of the house- as if enemies were going to burst through the door at any moment. He would be ready to protect, no matter the cost.
His Boss looking as if he was getting ready to go out snapped the blonde out of his unnecessary anticipation, eyebrows furrowing as he noticed the gloves. John bit his cheek to silence a sigh, immediately assuming that he'd be going out with Alexei. The man only had a moment to wonder if he'd ever get to sleep, before his boss spoke of something perhaps more concerning.
Suddenly, needing to sleep felt unimportant.
"Wh.. But, sir." The guard tried his best to keep his voice even, taking a step toward Shostakov. "That's dangerous, I should come with you."
Alexei's eyes settle on John, and he sighs, knowing this was going to be a little difficult. "I cannot take you with me." He doesn't elaborate further.
"You can feed Sezja while I am gone." The pup in question perks her head up when her name is said, having been sleeping at the bottom of the stairs.
"And then take some rest, Собачка, I promise will be fine." He then chuckles. "Remember, there was time before I had you to protect me."
"That's bullshit!.." Walker burst out, before shrinking a bit, clearing his throat. "..sir." John tried to collect himself, a tight frown lining his lips. "I can feed Sezja now, and then join you. If you're harmed while I'm not there, I'll definitely get mauled by your daughters." He gently argued, looking worried for his Boss. Whatever his daughters did with the guard wasn't actually the man's concern, of course, but it was the less embarrassing reasoning.
John slowly began to pace, his nerves buzzing with a need to protect Alexei, much to his own displeasure. He hated feeling permanently indebted as much as the next guy, but his place within the Shostakov family felt.. right. He was a soldier, a loyal unrelenting force. So, why not bring that with him?
"Rest'll be useless, y'know that." Walker practically huffed, pausing his pacing to look at his Boss. There was a steely look on his face, silent for a moment, despite his panicked brain. "I can't just let you leave without protection, times are surely different now, yeah? Why else would you hire a guard?" In the back of his mind, John knew that he was probably pushing a limit- questioning boss's authority was never a good decision, but the man was determined to go with him.
Alexei should be more angry that John seems so confident to talk back to him, but all he can feel is a slight amount of pride that his mutt is so attached to his hip.
"I have killed people for less." He starts, giving John a look that says he's done with the funny business. "Have put people in graves for giving me far less of an attitude than you are giving me." He opens a locked case on the wall, looking over his small collection of weapons he keeps on hand right by the door. Of course, he has others, but they stay in the basement for times when they are really needed. He takes a pistol, which he stores under his jacket on his waist, and then a shiv, which he straps the sheath to under his sleeve on his wrist.
He sighs, before taking slow steps to stand directly in front of John. "Sit down. On your knees." He waits until John does as he's demanded, before he speaks again. "I question you." He says, voice hardening as he takes John firmly by the chin.
"Do you think I am weak, little mutt?"
Sure, John could talk big, he could do that for hours at a time with confidence- but the moment Alexei shot that look at the guard, the blonde could feel himself regret talking back. His mouth snapped shut, and as his Boss spoke in a dangerous tone, Walker swallowed dryly, his adam's apple bobbing. Maybe his nerves had been getting the better of him.. or maybe, Shostakov was simply being overconfident.
Blue eyes were fixated on the weaponry that the other equipped, thinking that the pistol was going to be aimed right at the guard's head for a split second. John exhaled in relief out of his nose as Alexei shoved the item under his coat instead. Maybe the man was in the clear, maybe Walker showed enough reliance to be brought along-
The guard's shoulders tensed as Alexei made his way toward him, all thoughts shattered as he now held eye contact with his Boss. His legs worked on their own, much to the annoyance of Walker, feeling his face heat up as he practically fell to his knees. His eyebrows were furrowed, loathing seeming so pathetic. Even if his heart thumped rapidly as rough hands snatched his chin.
"No, sir, you're not weak." John finally spoke, forcing his voice to stay strong. "I just want to keep you safe." His hands stayed at his sides, balled up into fists. Get ahold of yourself! Walker hissed to himself mentally, a confusing mix of emotions swirling in his gut.
Alexei can see the regret on John’s face, but he still has a point to make. His hand tightens its grip, his thumb teasing past John’s lips and pressing into his mouth, forcing those pretty pink lips to close around it, holding his thumb in the boy’s mouth.
“Need I remind you the debt you owe to this family?” While yes, Alexei does consider John an honorary member of the Shostakov family, he would never say that to John’s face. His boot finds its way to John’s crotch, and he puts light pressure down on it, forcing John to sit his ass back on his heels. “You are just little puppy. Little mutt.”

"Y.. Yes, I understand, Boss." The man managed to choke out, his voice trembling a bit. "I'll.. stay here."
Alexei can feel the roll of John's hips pushing his crotch against Alexei's boot, and he can't help the smirk that teases at his lips. Walker knows who is boss, and that's the most important part.
"Good boy." He finally praises, pulling his thumb from the other's mouth and setting his boot back on the ground. "Now, stay. Stay right here." He points to the floor where John is sitting. "And do not move until I return, understood?"
Alexei doesn't wait for an answer before he walks into the mudroom, filling a bowl with food for his actual dog, leaving it out by the stairs for her to eat. "I have no other task for you. Stay." He says firmly.
And that's the punishment. John, on his knees by the door, going to be stuck there for who knows how long. It'll be a damn miracle if he doesn't make a mess of himself while Alexei is gone.
And he is gone now. He heads out the door, letting it shut and lock behind him as the sound of his driver's car peeling out of the driveway is heard moments later.

"Rest'll be useless, y'know that." Walker practically huffed, pausing his pacing to look at his Boss. There was a steely look on his face, silent for a moment, despite his panicked brain. "I can't just let you leave without protection, times are surely different now, yeah? Why else would you hire a guard?" In the back of his mind, John knew that he was probably pushing a limit- questioning boss's authority was never a good decision, but the man was determined to go with him.
Alexei should be more angry that John seems so confident to talk back to him, but all he can feel is a slight amount of pride that his mutt is so attached to his hip.
"I have killed people for less." He starts, giving John a look that says he's done with the funny business. "Have put people in graves for giving me far less of an attitude than you are giving me." He opens a locked case on the wall, looking over his small collection of weapons he keeps on hand right by the door. Of course, he has others, but they stay in the basement for times when they are really needed. He takes a pistol, which he stores under his jacket on his waist, and then a shiv, which he straps the sheath to under his sleeve on his wrist.
He sighs, before taking slow steps to stand directly in front of John. "Sit down. On your knees." He waits until John does as he's demanded, before he speaks again. "I question you." He says, voice hardening as he takes John firmly by the chin.
"Do you think I am weak, little mutt?"
Night has fallen, the only light in the Shostakov house coming from the soft lamps that litter the hallways and rooms. Alexei stands in the foyer, slipping his arm through his coat and pulling on a pair of thin black leather gloves. It's unclear right off the bat where he's headed, but he at least makes sure to pocket his case for his cigars.
"I need you to stay here, Собачка." He says to John, sparing him a small glance. He knows his personal guard won't be happy to hear that he's being made to stay home.

John Walker stood stiffly in the doorway of the foyer, leaned against the frame. He took his job of guarding very seriously, blue eyes flicking toward the entrance of the house- as if enemies were going to burst through the door at any moment. He would be ready to protect, no matter the cost.
His Boss looking as if he was getting ready to go out snapped the blonde out of his unnecessary anticipation, eyebrows furrowing as he noticed the gloves. John bit his cheek to silence a sigh, immediately assuming that he'd be going out with Alexei. The man only had a moment to wonder if he'd ever get to sleep, before his boss spoke of something perhaps more concerning.
Suddenly, needing to sleep felt unimportant.
"Wh.. But, sir." The guard tried his best to keep his voice even, taking a step toward Shostakov. "That's dangerous, I should come with you."
Alexei's eyes settle on John, and he sighs, knowing this was going to be a little difficult. "I cannot take you with me." He doesn't elaborate further.
"You can feed Sezja while I am gone." The pup in question perks her head up when her name is said, having been sleeping at the bottom of the stairs.
"And then take some rest, Собачка, I promise will be fine." He then chuckles. "Remember, there was time before I had you to protect me."

Bob just layed on bed, trying to focus on a book. But it was difficult, especially without any new message from Alexei.
After another take on reading a very weirdly formed dialogue, he finally gave up reading, dialing the other's number instead.
"If we were locked in a bathroom with a dead body, with no way to escape... Would you saw your leg off and try getting help or would you stay with me so we'd rott together?" Words poured out of his mouth as soon as Alexeis phone got picked up, no second thought before asking this question
There’s the sound of grunting and metal hitting concrete on the other end of the line before Alexei speaks. “Ah, Little boy, is now the best time? And it is bad assumption to think would let that happen to you at all.”
There’s the sound of muffled screaming on the other end, perhaps softened by some tape around the person’s mouth.
“Am bit busy right now, little one.”

Bob wasn't sure if Alexei even celebrated Halloween. But idea of dressing up with him, having some "spooky" time with him sounded more than appealing. He dresses up in a cop outfit that he ordered behind the other's back and entered the kitchen, holding a water gun.

Alexei glances behind him, raising a brow at the other, taking in how much of Bob’s pretty body is exposed with the uniform. “…Or what? Are packing heat?” He glances down at the tiny black mini-skirt that Bob is wearing.
"oh come on, at least try playing along" bob sighed dramatically before coming closer, putting the gun to Alexei's back. "Aren't you worried about me putting you in jail? I have like... Shit tone of evidence that could get you locked down~"
Alexei turns around so the water gun presses against his chest. “Don’t think I want clothes wet, so will play along.” He takes Bob by the chin, softly. “What is my crime, sweet boy?”
