A level French tips/How to fucking ace them.
Note: This is specifically for the CIE specification HOWEVER it may be equally beneficial to people of other boards or those who literally donât have anything to do with A levels. A level French is I think equal to DELF B2? (Donât quote me on it.)
1. Use Tricolore Totale for (I)GCSE level, that will suffice even for A levels.Â
Majority of the vocabulary used in exam papers will be there! The few that are not, write them down.
Memorise all the vocabulary given at the back of the book.
The grammar given at the back of the book is all you have to fuck with. (All tenses, moods, etc etc, itâs all there. Know them.)
2. Past papers are GOD. (Cannot be stressed enough.)
Try to do as many past papers you can, go all the way back from the current year to when you werenât even born. Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â YOU. NEED. THAT. PRACTICE.
It will train your vocabulary and grammar too. Nothing is more efficient than past papers.Â
When you get closer to exam (Iâd say 1 month close) start timing your practice.Â
Jot down all vocabulary and expressions you donât know or are not in the book.
Keep track of the past papers youâre doing lol, sounds like common sense or something not important, but youâll thank me later.
