Algebraliens are actually pretty fun to draw :D
I wrote a whole ass ass character analysis following TPOT 20 because that's how I process things that are extremely well written:
One is clearly emotionally unstable. Can't blame her, she can't control it. The reason why she's always been left alone is because of her emotions. Usually, people calm down after some alone time, but in reality she needed someone to talk to. No one else knew that this only made her feel more left out. After getting the powers, she thinks it could finally get her some friends like everyone else. She goes after the nicest one: Three. Her plan works. They become best buds, but her emotional instability is still there. Three clearly sucks at keeping secrets. Why didn't she wake up One? Either it didn't cross her mind, or One just slept through it, which is what I think happened because if Three woke everyone up, the yapping would've woken One up too. I guess she was too busy dreaming about having friends or something so they just got going. One felt betrayed because of this, and crashed out, accidentally killing Three. Everyone else got scared. With her emotional instability, she's very dangerous. They were conflicted because they knew that One just needed someone to talk to, and was pleading for help yet they were too scared. They did what they knew worked in the past: giving her alone time for her to calm down. I don't think the algebraliens are good at checking up on each other(except their best friends, like in XFOHV), because typically you check on your detainees and those you leave alone for a bit, which Four hasn't done with Three, and I don't think anyone has done with One. Two doesn't check on their eliminated contestants either, but strangely, Four does, I assume it's to prevent them from finding Three and potentially causing problems. The problems in question I do not know.
After 14 years, you'd think that One has had ample time to think it through. Instead, her emotions and grief clouded her thinking. It's hard to think clearly when overwhelmed with emotions. I feel bad for her, honestly. But just like it's on the others for not checking in on her throughout the years, both on the moon and their home planet, it's One's responsibility to control herself, even if it's really hard. She let her emotions get the better of her, instead of talking it out after all these years. She stripped people's best friends, like how her best friend was stripped from her. She needed power to bring back Three. Selfish, yeah? Seems like it's her nature, like how she wanted all the power to herself when she first found it. Selfishness here can't be justified. One was so hyper focused on fixing her own wrongdoings, she created so much more that she refused to care about.
There's always a reason for being an outcast. Maybe it's the way you look, or the way you speak. For One, she's just difficult to be around. You can't blame how you are. You can't really control that, so act upon what you can.
I really want to see One reconcile with the other algebraliens. I feel like Leafy would play a role cause of her ragebaiting, because One doesn't think she's mean, she's just trying to fix everything, yet she disregards all the harm she has done. Leafy has also been alone for years after committing an atrocity in the past, just like One. I'm looking forward to a happy ending here.
