I heard-but have not been able to confirm-that they were supposed to reserve space to speak at the Four Seasons Hotel, but someone screwed up and reserved the Four Seasons Total Landscaping for their venue.  And then had to go for fear of looking stupid and admitting it was a mistake.

But if you ask me they look pretty stupid as is.

The theory that I’ve heard that’s similar but I think slightly more plausible is that Trump tweeted it was going to be at the Four Seasons before the campaign had actually booked the Four Seasons. Maybe they were in negotiations or maybe he just spat it out there into cyberspace like he’s so fond of doing. Either way he tweets, the campaign tries to get the Four Seasons and can’t, so then they have to scramble to find some place named “Four Seasons” or else risk revealing Trump’s lie.

As if this is the first time he’s lied and tweeted something impulsively that’s 100% made up.
