As far as I’m concerned, pokemon villain writing peaked with Guzma. Legitimately worried about the erosion of culture due to hyper-tourism surrounding their sacred rites and practices. Abused as a child, ran away from home to start his countries only youth hostel for similarly troubled kids, and funds it with crime. Bug type specialist, with an ace that is mostly known for its first stage being cowardly. Cultivates a big scary persona as a defense mechanism to protect himself and his members, no one can beat big bad Guzma, so they don’t have to be afraid anymore. His grunts trust him enough to ask him for help when they screw up, despite the fact that they all come from troubled homes. Was so significant that pokemon switched from having cartoonishly evil bad guys and teams to the current model of “sympathetic and understandable antagonist that has some very good points, even as they oppose the protagonist, and is in some way actively doing good in their community by supporting those who are the most in need of assistance, due to some legitimate failing of the current system.” There is a cartoon villain looming behind him, but they’re a twist and not the main team presented. Everyone wants to be him, but they can never replicate the perfection that is this man.

I like to think about how quickly Tom would adapt to being a girl-dad/father in law to Amy. Like he’s so good at it. Wachowski fam has to walk through some mud on a hike? He carries her over it so she doesn’t have to get her boots dirty. Amy wants to bake something? Tom stays home from work to make donuts with her. Wachowski fam is playing baseball but the boys are throwing a fit because Amy wants to use her hammer as a bat? If Knuckles can use his fists, Amy can use her hammer. Amy wants to learn about Earth nature? Hell yeah let’s go wander around the woods together for an hour. How do you get Sonic to like you? Literally just exist next to him, you’re the first female hedgehog he’s ever met and he’s also not that smart lol.

Ya know that amy post. You know what would even be funnier is if donut lord teases the whole gf thing and sonic sputters trying to deny it. Amy just sitting there watching and when donut lord asks her, theres just this mischievous grin and amy goes “oh yea no, were totally dating we already planned our wedding and million babies” just to mess with sonic causing chaos and sonic cant live it down cause everytime amy talks to him is like “ sooooo boyfriend, future husband, signficant other to be etc, think you can handle busting robots” just to hear him groan. Cause she wont let him live it down and donut lord and knuckles and tails are dying of laughter.

Endless teasing from everyone with movie Sonamy will be amazing XD
