this is my favorite time of year to drive through the country... the corn is starting to tassel, the soybeans are a wide blanket of deep green, the prairie and pollinator plots are in full bloom, the crop dusters are doing lazy loops over the highline wires, the calves are napping in the pastures, and all's right with the world 🌾

I’m actually a huge fan of the hopecore movement. People need to be encouraged to care again, and that caring is a good thing and will eventually lead you to living a good life. Because if you don’t care, you don’t want to improve yourself, and living a good life requires you to want to improve yourself. We need to get people to see that their lives are worth living so that they start asking why.

This is going to sound like such a silly thought, but if I decided to adopt another cat, from a local shelter... would it be all right if I brought Clove with me to see which kitty he vibes with best?
