“Hey, Grant!” Eddie smiled, nodding at his friend from across the bar. “Want your usual?” He asked, receiving a nod from his friend before he went to pour the glass of beer.
“Cheers, thanks, Eddie.” Grant smiled, holding the glass of beer up before he took a couple sips. He glanced around the bar, taking in the surroundings. Eddie had mentioned to Grant that there was this pretty new girl working at the bar that was just Grant’s type and that he should come in and check her out… but currently all he saw was Eddie behind the bar.
That was, until you walked behind the bar with an arm full of empty glasses. You looked at Eddie and groaned, setting the glasses on the counter. “Eddie, that table didn’t leave us a tip and I’m blaming you.”
“Me? What did I do?!” Eddie asked, raising an eyebrow at you.
“You flirted with them all, even after being shot down multiple times by them all.”
“That’s not true,” Eddie looked at Grant and smirked. “She’s lying.”
“I doubt it,” Grant smirked back, sipping on his beer. You looked up at him and smiled a little.
“Oh, shit, sorry. Uh, this is my friend, Grant. He plays the bass in the band I’m in.” You smiled more, nodding at Grant.
“Bass player, huh?” You asked, resting your arms on the counter in front of him. “I’m not typically a girl that goes for band members but I think I could make an exception for you,” you winked, smiling at him.
“Oh, uh, yeah?” He asked, smiling a little as he leaned towards you. “Do you, uh, do you come here often?” Grant asked, attempting to flirt with you.
Eddie laughed as he walked away from the bar, shaking his head at his friend’s stupid question.
You smiled at Grant, giggling slightly. “Well, considering I work here, yes. I do come here often.”
“Oh, right,” he mumbled, blushing softly as he took another sip of his beer.
“But, I’d love it if you came here more often.” You winked at him, standing up straight to help some other customers at the bar. Grant watched you, his eyes following your every move with a smile on his face.
Yeah, he’ll definitely be coming back here more often.
