Whole Lotta Love was popularized by Led Zepplin who ripped off Muddy Waters without credit.
Damiano’s vocals in 2019 Led Zep cover are absolutely blistering.
Vocally, my favorite Måneskin’s era is actually all the way back to the Il Ballo Della Vita tour. Obviously Damiano still has a great voice but pre-pandemic he was giving Robert Plant a run for his money in terms of vocal power. Literally gives me chills!

The sun was high in the sky by the time she woke up.
The bed was too comfy but the day ahead promised more excitement.
She rolled over in bed and reached for her phone which was on the nightstand.
There were no new texts.
“Good morning, bitches.” She wrote in the group chat.
No response.
How is everyone still asleep? It’s past 9.30 am. Lazy motherfuckers.
She got out of bed after a quick scroll through social media. She was excited to spend some time with Dante and to get to see you finally out of the hospital.
She showered quickly and did her morning routine before checking the phone again.
“WAKE UP, LAZY MOTHERFUCKERS. IT’S A BRAND NEW DAY.” She wrote, hoping for a response but none was there.
Do I have to do everything myself? She thought.
She put on her favourite pair of jeans and a lovely lacy bralette on, grabbed her sunglasses and the tiny bag that she had been loving lately and headed for Ethan’s room.
She knocked twice before he opened, wearing only a towel on his lower half and one wrapped around his hair.
“Buonasera.” He smiled.
“Why are you not replying to the texts?” Vic walked into his room. Unsurprisingly, he was neat as always.
“I just came back from the gym. Did anything happen?” Ethan asked, opening the wardrobe to pull out his clothes for the day.
“Everyone is still asleep.” Vic explained. “We should wake them up, today is the day Y/N gets out of the hospital, we have things to do!”
“You don’t know that she is coming out of the hospital.” Ethan elaborated. “Dami told us that she might if she’s had a good night.”
“You’re a ray of sunshine today, aren’t you?” Vic fake laughed. “She is getting out and we are packing their things and taking them home to Rome. I miss Rome and Paris is starting to give me the creeps…”
“You’re tired of shopping?” Ethan teased, pulling on his underwear.
“Ha-ha, very funny Edgar. Because of your humour, you get the privilege of waking up Thomas and Leo. I’ll go see Dami and my baby.” She winked at him and walked towards Damia’s room. Leo had given her the keycard the previous night so she knocked after not hearing any noise coming from the room and then let herself in.
“Dami? Dante? Good morning, bambinos!” She chirped and kept going deeper into the room, only to find the bed empty.
What the hell?
She pulled out the phone from her pocket and texted the group chat.
“Dami and Dante are not in the room.”
“Where are they? @Damiano, where are you?” Ethan replied almost instantly.
“Are you at the hospital?” Leo chimed in.
“Can we do anything for you? Is everything alright?” - Vic
No reply came.
Ten minutes later, everyone was gathered in the lobby.
“We’ll grab breakfast and coffee on the go, Thomas. We need to find Damia and Dante and make sure they’re alright.” Leo insisted.
The car was already waiting for them, still fitted with Dante’s baby seat.
“I am anxious.” Vic admitted while fidgeting with her rings.
“Why?” Thomas looked at her.
“What do you mean why? They have been through enough. What if something bad happened and he just didn’t tell us? What if he decided to take Dante and leave? What if..?”
“Breathe, Vic.” Ethan put his hand on her shoulder. “Dami wouldn’t kidnap Dante and leave Y/N at the hospital. He also wouldn’t leave without saying anything. It’s going to be okay.”
“If you say so…”
“Vic, he wouldn’t just drop us.” Thomas added. “You know that, surely.”
“Of course, of course. But what if something happened?” She insisted again.
“If something happened, he would have told us so we can be there for him. It’s fine, you’ll see.” Leo chimed in. “Worrying won’t help anyone. Let’s grab breakfast and coffee, go check on Y/N and see if she knows where her boys are.”
“I just worry a lot, okay?” Vic said finally. “They all went through hell and back.”
**
They stopped at one of the nicest cafes in Paris that was a walking distance away from the hospital.
“We will walk from here. We’ll text you more details when we get them.” Leo smiled at the driver, who had become friendly with them in the short period that they had used his service.
“That was nice of you.” Thomas retorted, opening the door for Vic.
“I am a nice person, Thom.” Leo replied, lightening the situation.
“Even more so when you’ve had your coffee.” Vic chuckled.
“Don’t act all high and mighty, De Angelis.”
Vic stood in front of the counter and ordered herself a coffee and a sandwich to go. Ethan followed suit, getting an orange juice, a sandwich and some coffee, then Thomas placed his order and finally Leo, who in that particular day had undertaken the role of mom of the group, put down his order, as well as food and drinks for Damia, Dante and you.
“We need about 15 minutes to get all of this ready.” The cashier told Leo and the group sat down. Vic started looking through her phone again, desperate to diffuse the anxiety.
“Vic, you’re fidgeting.” Ethan remarked.
“Helpful observations as always, Edgar.” She bit back. “I feel like something is wrong, like we are missing something.”
“Vic, it’s too early for this.” Thomas groaned.
“Oh please!”
“Let’s try and look at it from a positive perspective, okay? Damia probably woke up very early and was too excited to get Y/N from the hospital and he probably took Dante to her mom to get him ready and they are getting ready to welcome her home. It will be great. Then we will figure out the logistics of getting everyone back to Rome and we’ll keep going and there will be a happy end to this story.” Leo said, trying to bring back the peace.
“You’re a ray of sunshine too today.”
“It’s going to be a good day, I can feel it.” Leo proclaimed.
“Amen to that.” Ethan finally got up when the barista signalled that their order was ready. He handed the food to Leo to carry and grabbed the drinks.
“We should throw them a really nice welcome home party once we get to Rome.” Vic suggested, walking side by side with Thomas.
“They need to find a home first.” Thomas countered. “They also might need some alone time.”
“Their alone time will not deprive me of quality time with my godbaby.” Vic insisted. “I love Dante too much.”
“We all love Dante, Vic.” Ethan added. “And I am very proud of Dami.”
“Yeah, I am too. The dad role suits him.” Thomas responded.
“I only worry about the toll on his mental health with all that stress.” Leo interjected. “I’ll talk to him about visiting a therapist once we get to Rome.”
“Wonderful idea, Leo.” Ethan smiled. “Yeah, Dami is probably going to need a lot of therapy.”
**
“Mama?” Dante mumbled sleepily and shifted in Dami’s arms. Dami barely heard his words over the pounding of his heart. The two of them stood at the door of your room. Dami couldn’t believe his eyes.
He started walking into the room and getting closer to the bed, he started shaking, the tears rolling down his face.
“Dami?” You opened your eyes slowly, Dante’s voice rousing you from the already light sleep. “Dami, what’s wrong?” You sat up slowly, wincing at the pain in your ribs.
He almost fell to his knees. Slowly, he made a few tentative steps towards your bed, his heart threatening to beat out of his chest. He put Dante down carefully on the chair and turned to you.
“You’re here?” His voice shook and he dropped the bag on the floor and reached to touch you. He pinched himself, making sure that he was not sleepwalking or dreaming, that he was awake and conscious, that his brain wasn’t lying to him.
Because he didn’t know what he would do if his brain was lying to him and you weren’t really there and he was all alone with Dante again.
“I am here.” You nodded and looked at Dami, worry eating away at the expression on his face. “What’s going on? It’s super early, are you two okay?”
Dami started sobbing and climbed into bed, holding on to you. You ran your fingers through his hair, not understanding what had happened but worried that something was wrong.
“I thought… I thought we had lost you.” Dami sobbed.
Shit. He must have learned about what happened. You thought to yourself.
“I am just where you left me, amore mio.” You kept combing his hair with your fingers, trying to calm him down.
It took time for him to calm down. Dante had fallen back asleep on the chair by the time Damia stopped crying.
“I am scared he’s going to fall off.” You whispered to Dami. “Can you get him and put him here, he can lay on top of me and you both can give me all the cuddles?” You suggested.
“I love that idea.” Dami did a mini-smile, carefully lifted the baby and put him on top of you, watching your every reaction for pain and once the two of you were comfy, he laid down next to you.
“You should try to sleep.” You whispered to Dami and put a small kiss on his forehead. “We’ll figure it all out in the morning.”
“So should you, my love.” He replied softly.
“I will. I love you.” You put a very soft kiss on his lips, then kissed Dante’s forehead before closing your eyes.
“I love you too.” Dami vowed quietly and held on to you, determined to never let go again.
Needless to say, both of you barely slept the remainder of that night. Dante slept peacefully on top of you and you were happy to hold him but the distress on Dami’s face and the events of the previous day had you in a chokehold that didn’t allow for sleep to come easily. Dami pretended that he was asleep for your sake and he did drift in and out of sleep, but it was mostly light sleep that left him dizzier than before.
“Good morning.” The head doctor walked in the room at visitation hours. Dami and Dante looked asleep.
“Good morning.” You shifted slightly, the movement startling Damiano awake.
“Uh..hi.” Damia said groggily. He got off the bed and sat into the chair.
“How was your pain, Ms. Y/L/N?” The doctor went through the notes that had been taken the previous day.
“Not unbearable. I am fine.” You said. “I want to go home, please.”
“Not being unbearable does not help, ma’am.” The doctor argued. “I am worried that after yesterday’s incident, you might get worse and I worry that sending you home is a bad idea.”
“I need to be with my family.” You begged, tears coming to your eyes. “I can’t stay here. I’ll sign whatever papers you want me to sign, I’ll come in for checkups, I’ll go to whatever doctor you recommend me in Rome, but please, for the love of all that’s good in the world, let me get out of here before I lose my mind.”
The doctor considered your request.
“I will talk to a few colleagues in Italy that I will refer you to. Are you staying in Paris for a while yet?” He asked.
“We are trying to get to Rome as soon as possible.” Dami answered, hoping that his reply matched whatever you were going to say.
“Yes, I am going home to Rome with my family as soon as possible.” You affirmed.
Dami felt like a weight was lifted off his shoulders. He was taking you and Dante to Italy.
“I will ask that for as long as you are still in Paris, you come in for check ups regularly so that we can track your recovery and if you have pain flare ups or any complaints, you come in. You had a serious accident and you are on the road to recovery but you need to take it easy.”
“She will.” Damiano promised. “Dante and I will take care of her.” He gave the doctor a very Prince Charming smile.
Who could say no to that smile?
**
“What incident did the doctor mean, amore?” Damia asked once the doctor left. Dante was having his morning bottle and you moved your gaze from him to his papa, the resemblance between them melting your heart.
“I… I don’t want to stress you out.”
“That’s reassuring.” He snorted.
“H/N was here.” You started, Damia getting paler instantly.
“WHAT? How am I learning about it just now?!” He moved to the bed and cupped your face. “Did she hurt you? Tell me everything!”
“She didn’t get to hurt me, I pressed the panic button and she pretty much confessed that she wanted to hurt Dante and said that it was a shame that I didn’t die in the accident.” Telling Dami made you relive the horror and you teared up.
“I will kill her.” Damia spat, his hands shaking.
“Dami, no.” You grabbed his hand. “I need you and Dante needs you. I want to hurt her too, but I will testify and she will go to prison where she will rot like she deserves. I don’t want to lose you again.” You begged.
“You’re never losing me again, amore.” He kissed your hand.
The nurses had taken out all the IVs out of your arm and your mom was bringing you clean clothes so you can go home into something comfy and familiar.
“I love you, Damiano.” You smiled.
“I love you too.” He kissed your hand again. “Stop trying to protect me, though.”
“Do you want to tell me why you showed up with our baby in the middle of the night?” You asked tentatively.
“I got a call that you were dead. It was someone from the hospital. They told me that you were dead and that I should come here as soon as possible.” He explained.
“Did you check at reception who called you?”
“No. I refused to say the words that you were dead because saying it made it real and when I saw you here I almost fell to my knees. I thought I was losing my mind.” He teared up. “The notion of you dying… it terrifies me, cara.”
“I am not dying.” You promised.
“You were attacked yesterday and I was not here to protect you. And you didn’t tell me what happened.”
“Dami, you have been under plenty of stress lately. We need to figure out. Where is your phone?”
He got up and pulled the phone out of his pocket. Unlocked it and opened the call log. There was no call.
“Shit.”
“What?”
“There is no call. The last call was to your mom last night when she told Dante good night after checking on us…”
“Dami..”
He went over everything that he had done that night.
“Holy shit.” He said finally. “Holy shit, I didn’t get a call…” He gasped.
“You had a nightmare.” You nodded, your heart breaking for him. “Oh, Dami.”
“Thank God it was only a nightmare.” He started crying again, pulling you and Dante closer to him.
You cried too.
**
They walked in on what looked like an intimate scene. Dante snuggled up between the two of you, playing with his favorite toy, babbling away, while you and Damia were looking over him adoringly.
Ethan took out his phone and snuck a picture before anyone could disrupt the moment.
“Well, glad to learn that you’re alive and well!” Vic smiled, relief flooding her at the cute scene unfolding in front of her. You and Damia exchanged a look but didn’t say anything, only chuckled.
“We bring breakfast.” Leo announced, taking out the sandwiches from the bag and passing one to you, and another to Damiano. “Hi Dante.” He smiled at the little boy.
“Are we taking you home?” Thomas asked, his patience at the lack of sufficient caffeine showing a bit.
“We are going home, yes.” You affirmed, the idea making you super excited.
“Finally.” Vic clapped, the noise capturing Dante’s attention who only squealed “Ic!”
“I am home wherever you are.” Dami smiled at you and pressed a kiss to your lips.
“Home is wherever you are, amore.” You agreed. “You and Dante are my whole heart, my home.”
Vic made a fake gagging noise, making everyone laugh in turn.
I thought...I thought you will fix everything, but...but you'll just make everyone cry even more in the end...now everything is good and fluffly but...but remembering the previous chapter I...I...I can't...
