Hey there, welcome to my blog! This will just be a quick introduction and faq!
My name is Jace (he|him), and I'm just an amateur artist and doggy dad to a gremlin husky mix named Cyrus. I post art here of large variety of bullshit! I'm very multifandom, so i apologize for that.
If you are here in curiosity of my OCs:
This is Akos.
His bio can be found here if you wish to learn more, but he is a dnd character to a campaign that has since ended :) (my dm has now made a tumblr.) He intends to use it as a look to his creative process on such a wild homebrew. Show him some love. He's an incredible storyteller!
And this is Lae!
I do not have a worked out bio for him yet (but will update if I do) He's my WoL from Final Fantasy XIV. I welcome new players often, and if you wish to find me in game it's Laeroth Gilorwyn and I'm on primal-famfrit :) I'm a retired savage raider basically who's been playing since HW launch in 2015. I draw him often, though, as well as other wols, so if you want to see those, they are under the #ffxiv tag on my blog
And under the break, here will just be some common questions I get all the time:
Q: Where did your username come from?
A: It was actually something stupid I said in discord voice when I was doing pvp on bard in xiv lol it was to make fun of the whole alpha male mentality. I had wiped out like 4 other bards or something that were trying to take me down, and I was the one who came out victorious so I just whispered into my mic "I am the alpha bard" and it made my friends laugh so hard. I changed all my usernames to it as a joke, but then it stuck so here we are, cringy username and all (but also why I'm adamant people call me by name, not username)
Q: What program do you use?
A: Clip Studio Paint :) I've used many others, but csp is just what I go back to every time
Q: What drawing tablet do you use?
A: I use a 22 in stand-up tablet from huion or an iPad air depending on if I have to leave the house or not
Q: What brushes do you use?
A: a litteral metric shit ton to match whatever I'm doing, but my main drawing brushes are actually just the default ones in CSP.
Q: Can I draw your oc?
A: ABSOLUTELY. All I ask is if it involves interactions with one of yours (I welcome this) to just ask about how either would react :D my DMs are always open! If it's a gift just tag me so I can see!!
Q: Can I use/repost your art?
A: this question is nuanced for me in particular. I've had someone use my art of lae before for their own oc, and I would rather that not happen moving forward for any of my ocs and I often do art of other people's ocs and i feel that would be disrespectful of them too. HOWEVER, if you are one of the people I have gifted art to, i do not mind at all if you use the work! All it ask is for credit in wherever you may use it :D
Q: Do you take commissions?
A: Not usually. There are exceptions to this as I have in the past, but I don't open slots or anything like most artists. I have to be invested in the idea, or it takes the fun out of drawing for me sadly. BUT if you are ever curious if it's something I'd like to take on + pricing, you can always ask. I love doing character creation commissions, as that's mostly what I have done in the past.
Q: What games do you play?
A: I play a wide range of games and love trying something new! I play ffxiv all the time and have been working towards a challenging achievement, but otherwise, I bounce between new games all the time!
Q: Where did you meet your DnD group/DM /how long have you known them?
A: (I'm shocked to get this question a lot) I've known my dnd group and dm for coming up on 5 years now. I met Mr. Snocaps and many of our mutual friends through ffxiv, and we've just been friends ever since :)

I feel like i do these more often than not but I just can't get a break lol I'm okay. I'll come back to shit eventually. I'm taking a break from social media as a whole--
But just as a little extra insight to my state of mind, is works been really unbearable for a few weeks leading up to an audit. I told myself I'd get back into the swing of things after but fires have ravaged my home and my asthmas making it hard to function. And on top of it all, social media just really... brings me down. I'm sorry. I'm working on trying to be more artsy, but I just need an extended break from at least social media. I might come back with an art dump
i am!!!!! having one fucking week, that's for sure!!!! between my mail being lost TWICE this week, my main monitor dying (my partner offered me their second monitor already so dw too much about that), and just having to deal with people thinking i'm too stupid to know the value of my pokémon cards, i am having a joker ass spectrum of emotions that make me want to terrorize gotham in a fit of catharsis seeking fury.

Did some concept sketches for another character from Xander's old stories. Andromeda was a rival, who ran a ship called the Swordfish and loved to give him grief. When Xander was young he took up jobs on various ships and ended up working on the Swordfish when Andromeda's father, Renard, was in charge. She and Xander grew up together, forming a sibling bond (and often at each other's throats) He left and formed his own crew while Andromeda took over from her father.
Her story needs a bit of tweaking for her LoZ version, but their rivalry will remain because I love women characters who know they're hot shit and love to cause drama ✨💅
Do you have/will you make ask blogs for any of your characters?
I do not! I have considered making one for Akos at least as it sounds really fun and would give me an excuse to show off his personality more and talk more about the amazing work Mr. Snocaps did, but I've never been sure on interest. I'm always too nervous about promoting myself like that i guess 😅
I'll just say this now because it seems to be a reoccurring issue: I'm so sorry if you ever see double notifications from either in reblog or double posts of my art-- the app is held together by hopes and dreams and sometimes reposts my last post when I log back in 🫠
I'd be curious to know more on Sanguine, any info on him to share?
Sanguine is the 2nd eldest of all the royal siblings, and his striking physical appearance is a result of a genetic mutation.
Despite his seemingly kind and sociable exterior, its hard to give exact details on this guy as he is actually more mysterious/not forthcoming about himself and how he feels.
His true motives and thoughts are unknown. He has not let anyone close enough to learn deeper about him.
In fact, no one can get close to him at all. Literally.
There seems to be an unusual repelling force keeping people from getting too close or attempting to make contact with him. The ones that tried are confusedly stuck in their tracks, as if unable to move further, only able to back away.
Most have brushed this off as the nature of royalty and knowing better than to approach too closely, especially one as "grand" as him. But its something more than that.. and he is unwilling to share what it is.
Sanguine's true interests, hobbies, likes and dislikes, and relations are largely unknown. He is a mirror to people, socializing with whom he must to keep in their good graces, adapting to their nature and opinions, at least in the case of fellow higher class individuals. For those who arent, he comes off as kind but unapproachable.
He doesnt lack a sense of self, he just doesnt share it. He is very aware of what he wants and what he likes or dislikes, and it often times clashes with others views more than one would think. But will they know that? Not if it doesnt serve him.
The one thing to note: He is one of the siblings that doesnt approve of the outcome for the throne to the empire. Perhaps he is one of the ones that harbors resentment for his chances being ripped away by something so small and unearning, yet so final.
Sanguine doesnt accept this. Yet appears largely unbothered outwardly.
He may be responsible for more than one may think.
Also he is Grayromantic, but sexuality is unknown.
