🎀 “Tag, You’re It” Hex 🎀

For when you need to throw harm inflicted on you back to the offender and restore balance.

Inspired by Melanie Martinez’s song “Tag, You’re It”.

Items:

A Mirror

One White Candle

One Black Candle

A Sigil, (such as this one)

Sea Salt

Dried Thyme

A Writing Utensil (preferably a marker)

Directions:

Draw your chosen sigil onto the center of your mirror. Add the name of the offender at the bottom of the sigil.

Cover the sigil in a sprinkling of dried thyme and sea salt.

Stand your candles on the mirror at either side of the sigil (it helps to lean taper candles toward the sigil).

Light your black candle, then your white candle.

Let the melting wax from your candles completely cover the sigil. Do not distinguish them before the sigil is covered.

Smother the flames to extinguish them or let the candles burn completely.

If you can manage it, separate the dried melted wax from the mirror. Keep it until balance is restored.

⋆ CASTING A WARD ⋆

↳ what are wards? wards are protections against negative energies or spirits that seek to harm you, or loved ones around you. you can cast wards on objects or space !

↳ remember before warding always cleanse the object or space you wish to cast the ward on. you can use incense or wash the object/space down with charged water !

↳ there are many different ways to cast wards but the main two are incense and sigils !

⋆ INCENSE METHOD ⋆

↳ smoke your item by circling the burning incense around it clockwise for as many times as you see fit. if you are warding a space, you need to pick a place to start ! i usually start in the right most corner and move across the room in a clockwise motion. if you don’t feel like picking a corner, or your room is an odd shape, start at your alter and move clockwise from there ! remember that if you’re warding more than one floor, begin at the very top and work your way down to the bottom floor ! visualise the smoke enveloping your item completely, and forming an a protective shield around it ! make sure your intentions are straight-forward and clear !

⋆ SIGIL METHOD ⋆

↳ when you’re making a sigil for warding, make sure that the sigil benefits your intentions! you can use oils blends, incense smoke, or simply visualize yourself drawing your sigils on your item or any entry point in the room ! if you’re creating sigils for an outdoor area there are ways for that as well ! you can paint your sigils using color magic on river rocks you have in your yard, or draw/carve your sigils into your fence post around your home ! ( REMEMBER that taking sigil from an online source isn’t always the best idea. the creator of the sigil could be lying about its intent and it could let negative energies into your item/ space ! if you don’t know how to create sigils, message me i’d be more than happy to help !! )

↳ shufflemancy is a form of modern divination that uses the shuffle button on your musical library to answer questions through the title or in the lyrics of a song !

HOW TO DO SHUFFLEMANCY ? simple !

⋆ whether it’s your whole music library or a specific playlist, come up with a random number of times to press the “shuffle” button (i usually stay within 1-10 times)

⋆ before or while you shuffle, ask your question either out loud or in your head ! both work just fine !

⋆ look for clues within the title, lyrics, artist, or the band itself ! not all answers are found immediately, some might take a little bit of your intuition!

CAN YOU USE SHUFFLEMANCY WITH YOUR DEITIES ? yes !!

↳ always ask your deity before using a new type of divination with them, but if they say yes, it can be a lot of fun for both of you !

↳ you can create playlists for them as well ! use songs that they’d like, or what they help you feel !
