Hello 👋

I am a father of two children 👨‍👧‍👦 from Gaza 🇵🇸, currently living through extremely difficult humanitarian conditions after losing my home due to the war 💔, and I am now displaced far from my original place of residence.

Life here is filled with daily challenges 😔, especially when it comes to providing basic needs such as food 🍞, water 💧, and care for my children.

My children are everything I have in this life ❤️, and I am doing my best to provide them with the minimum level of safety and food, but the current situation is very hard, and sometimes I cannot even provide them with a proper meal during the day 🍽️.

I also want to be able to provide my children with their school needs 🎒, such as supplies, stationery ✏️, and basic materials that help them continue their education despite the difficult conditions 📚.

I am only writing this because I have reached a point where I can no longer manage on my own 😞. Therefore, I am asking for help from anyone who is able to support, even with a small amount 💵, as it may help feed my children or ease part of our suffering.

Some thoughts on HERs

Among all the HERs in the series, in Heavenly novel Held highlights certain three of the,— Levia, Irina (who is later revealed to not be a HER tho, yet she herself believed to be one) and Seth. They all are also ones of the most important and long-acting characters, so they’re like main representation of this fictional syndrome. I thought that it’s interesting how they all have different thoughts about them having the syndrome

Levia denies being a HER up to the very end when it’s too late to do anything with it. We can see how she thinks dismissively about the “deviants” including Nemesis aka herself. She doesn’t want to be mentally unwell, she stigmatises it so much that she just ignores the problem

Irina makes her malice her entire identity. She acknowledges it, which is better than denial, but she starts to forget what she wanted outside of her identity as HER who must spread malice (like having friends or a child, she ties it to the HER topic too)

Seth has started similar to Irina, but if we look at him later in the story, he becomes more in control of his impulses while staying aware of his malice, accepting it and eventually just wanting to find someone who will understand him truly.

Should be noted that HER is something most characters are born with, it is an actual part of them, yet it is also socially dangerous — that’s why I don’t want to jump into comparisons, while HER resembles some actual mental disorders there’s no ‘evil disorder’ irl. I would say it’s a concept of “What if evilness was a medical diagnosis” made to explore the “What in the world is evil” topic without the implication to stigmatise irl mental disorders. And it’s also shown that characters with HER are people and their actions were a result not only of any evil nature but a social factor too. Though it’s debatable how it’s shown with some other characters, like Loki or Jorm who are straight up “crazy” and bloodthirsty, or Kiril and how he was “cured”, I think
