Making the more "feminine" member always the bottom is just patriarchy and heteronormativity seeping their ways into fandom spaces.

Yeah, I love San topping fics, but with THAT arch I'm always surprised how few btm sn fics there are as suppose to top sn fics. I swear, as soon as he would dress more feminine, the amounts of btm sn fics would skyrocket. Same with sh, just the other way around. It's not only a atiny thing, it's in every kpop fandom: bae is mostly top, sullyoon is mostly bottom, minho (shinee) mostly top and key mostly bottom.

And I'm not calling for hate comments on random fics, definitely not, pls leave kudos and nice comments. It's just frustrating to see how heteronormativity is even in queer fandom spaces.

(I don't know other fandoms well enough to say anything about their tp/btm/heteronormativity, maybe it's a general fandom thing)

and in kinda the same vein: ys is 100% such a freak, he's talked about liking to stalk his members or how invested he's when the members kiss eo. He's just often seen as this pretty, almost naive boy bc he struggles sometimes socially, which a lot of people equal with he's vanilla, doesn't know shit about sex etc..

i understand why ys fits into lanling he just looks rich and all, but hear me out: yeosang is such a good fit for gusu, his autistic brain would love all the rules, he's such a hard worker and always a little too harsh on himself - like everyone in gusu. he would love all having the security of all the rules and barley having to talk. AND he can learn almost 24/7? you will never get him out of that library. he would 100% read the most complicated cultivation shit for fun and be suprised it isnt common knowledge. also he would look fucking good in those white robes with long hair? human angel. he would top that hottest cultivators list 100%.
