So. I've been working on something a tiny bit different—a m/m novel. (Yes, novel. Not a comic. I know.) It's a completely separate story from Check, Please!, but it's got the same humor, pining, and feel-good vibes that make #omgcp what it is.

It’s about John Rich, a 28-year-old cover artist for The New York Review, who’s tasked with drawing the gorgeous but seemingly vapid action star, Tyler Hughes. Problem is, John can’t seem to draw this dude. Then of course, shenanigans.

I've posted the first five chapters on AO3, and I've been updating monthlyish? (Remember how I never had an update schedule for Check, Please! ya...) If you're into funny, feel-good, lighthearted gay romance, do give it a read. Absolutely, no pressure. Just wanted to share what I'm working on that wasn't superheroes or semi-autobio YA.

kent parson has a small playing card tattooed on the inside of his wrist - the ace of spades if we’re being specific - that he got just after he signed. it’s faded, the lines are messy and there’s a whole load of drop out but it’s far better than the shaky stick and poke ‘j’ that was there before, the one that made him think of warm hands and blown pupils and the his name whispered over and over again in the dark.

I know we already have tons of great fic about Jack’s 4th of July visit to Madison, but now that we know what bitty’s childhood room actually looks like, I’m gonna need someone to write one where they finally get alone in bitty’s room…only to have Jack get totally distracted by bitty’s trophy shelf and ask tons of highly detailed questions
