HI FOLLOWERS!!!Â
I know I have been MIA for about 4 months...but a lot has happened and my life has changed drastically! I went on a European dream vacation and got ENGAGED to the most amazing man I've ever met!!!! I've had a lot of fun and an amazing time, but 4 months is a long time to be off the band wagon, and it is safe to say that I have done some serious damage. I was on such a role, right before my birthday in February, but then I just started spiraling down hill. I became extremely stressed over school and my work life. I did quit my job at Macy's, and I am now currently a Sandwich Artist at Subway while finishing up my last year in school.Â
I am happy to say that I have been on track for the past 2 weeks, since I came back from Europe, and have decided to live a vegan lifestyle after reading the book, Skinny Bitch. I have lost 10 pounds and feel amazing!!! I have slowly been incorporating workouts back into my schedule, but that is something I will once again have to work up to. I did take a before picture, but I will not be posting that until after I have lost my first 25 pounds. I am trying to lose a total of 87 pounds...going from 247lbs to 160....and now I can officially say I am SHEDDING FOR MY WEDDING!!!!Â
First of all, I’d never thought I’d have the guts to do this so please no negative comments.
I follow several wonderful fitblrs because they motivate me to want to take care of my body and nourish it properly. However, the pictures above is without doing any of that (sadly, I’ve been slacking on the exercise and nutrition on account of a pulled back muscle and just being a junk food junkie in general). But a few weeks ago, I saw a beautiful girl that posted a photo of herself in a bikini saying something along the lines of that she was going to do that everyday until she felt comfortable with herself in a bikini. I adore her for that. At 24 years old, I’ve struggled most of my life being disgusted with my body. Summer was the worst for me. That stops now.
There are many things about myself that I don’t like such as my big hips and super thick thighs. They may get smaller and more toned (when I haven’t way and work my ass off), but they will always be a part of me. I’m never going to have stick thin legs or tiny hips and I’m okay with that now. Everyone’s body’s are different and that’s what makes us unique and beautiful.
I am beautiful because I am me.
If anyone knows the girl or her URL that started the bikini photo thingy, please tag her!
Here are some wonderful and beautiful ladies that inspire me to love myself and be the best version of me I can be:

OH MY GOD
The first pic is 3 summers ago right after my first semester in college. I’ve heard about the freshman 15 but in my case it was more like 60 lbs that I gained in maybe 4 months. I was eating very unhealthy, drinking alcohol and energy drinks more than water, and as a result ended up sick and on 3 pills every day for Insulin Resistance.Â
The second pic is this summer. I lost around 100 lbs, I’m healthier than I’ve ever been, and the best part is I’m no longer sick or need to take pills every day. I accomplished what I thought was impossible!
Never give up!
I actually never thought I could make ‘before and afters’ but here I am. I’m proud of what I’ve accomplished and I’m looking forward to keep working. Stay motivated and believe in yourself. It’s worth it! 💗
217lbs-130
-120 lbs makes a big difference in your face. First I was ashamed to post this bc I looks so horrible, but I’ve improved, and I’m still improving! And I want to show all of you that if I can do it so can you!!
Half the size, twice as strong.
After losing 155 lbs and finding running, I’ve gained so much health and happiness. I finally feel like the person I was supposed to be my whole life.
I like how my current weight is made up of the same digits as was my before weight… but oh how different things actually are.
I’ve had such a long journey of ups and downs, trial and error, and of overall learning. It’s all been worth it. Don’t give up because it’s hard now. Keep going because progress is something you have to work for and it really is attainable.
Take care of your body, you only get one.
