And for the fans it was a different wake up call, since they don't defend Blitz with the same intensity as they defend other characters, but after Sinsmas they still had the idea in their heads that I.M.P where good people, These shorts are here to remind them that no, they are not good people

There are still fans defending Blitz and saying that it was obvious since they are murderers, but a good portion were genuinely surprised that he killed an innocent person, so I think it still counts as a wake up call for a lot of them

I don't blame the fans and critics who were surprised by this, because the show tries to get across the message that our protagonists are better people than the antagonists and that we should root for them, when they clearly are not.

And I know the shorts aren't important to the main story, but I still think these points are valid.

Again, it wouldn't be a problem if the writers wanted to convey the message that these protagonists aren't good people, but that's not the case here, they want the audience to root for them.

When you write a villain protagonist and want to get across the message that they are not a good person, you don't make your audience root for them.

But that's not the case here, the show clearly wants us to root for them while condemning the antagonists for their actions, even though the protagonists are no better than them.

This new short just really hammers in how tonally baffling this series is and how confusingly it handles the main character's morals. Does Viv want Blitzo to be a horrible person who ruins people's lives for the sake of a quick joke and we like him because he's funny, or does she want him to be a flawed person who's done horrible things but still has lines that he won't cross? Because getting this pretty much right after sinsmas makes it all the more obvious that blitzos personality is "whatever viv feels like writing at the time"
