This is probably my first proper fanart for this series and it’s basically an AU lmao, only took me 6+ months after it’s already ended to do it
So… I had a dream the other day, and while there was a lot of stuff going on in it, this is what stuck out enough for me to want to draw it. There’s a lot of, unsure-ness, since I was trying to pull from my half-assed memory of what I saw in my dream. This isn’t a super accurate representation of what I saw but, hey, it’s close enough.
From what I can recall, this is meant to be Steven fused with the other three Diamonds. How the hell that would even work, or why, is beyond me but that’s how it was in the dream so I’m sticking to it. A couple of notes:
He didn’t have 4 arms in my dream but I felt it made more sense for there to be something to indicate he’s a fusion and that was both the easiest to implement and the least awkward looking.
The way I originally saw him, he was completely white/grey in terms of his color pallet, similar to his pink mode in Future but white instead. Idk how to describe it. It was also snowing and late night my dream so that could’ve influenced things. Either way, I did more “normal” colors for this but kept his hair grey. For some reason black hair just didn’t feel right.
I have no idea if Steven’s gem is still placed like Rose’s or if it’s shifted to Pink’s position. I never got to see it so I’ll leave that open for interpretation.
The shield I made up after I woke up, it was never in the dream. It seems kinda weird to keep the old shield with him looking like this lol
I’m pretty sure the star on his shirt was replaced with a diamond in my dream but i can’t remember so I just left it blank.
I dunno whether it’s better to have the extra arms go through the shirt sleeves or tear through the side of the shirt. I drew them both ways just to cover all my bases.
Yes, that’s Pearl’s gem. No, I don’t know what (or who) poofed her.
I had to change his hair, originally it was the same as in Everything’s Fine, but once again this is a fusion so just having Pink’s hair seemed odd. Trying to mix hair from all 4 Diamonds though was also not an option lol so I settled for White and Pink.
The damage to his shirt is just to show Blue and Yellow’s gems cuz otherwise it’d be really easy to mistake this for another “SU but with a different Diamond” AU (not like there’s anything wrong with those)
Idk if you can tell but he has diamond-shaped pupils
