this is not a stranger things blog or anything but i got annoyed and wrote this for my friend the other day and figured someone on here would enjoy it. also i have a million opinions so if you have any other plot holes or random questions i probably have some thoughts also it’s a lot longer than i was expecting, your welcome
how stranger things should have ended
- [ ] the fight scene should have had all of thr monsters and should have been much more difficult wirh a lot of actual planning and now just run and kill in less than 5 minutes
- [ ] kali who was being sketchy the whole season should have actually been up to something other than a suicide pact
- [ ] the should have explained the henry/scientist/crazy rock thing a lot more than they did or had holly see some weakness that would help in the final battle in that scene
- [ ] mike and eleven should have broken up between seasons 4 and 5 and they just didn’t tell anyone because there was other shit going on
- [ ] will should have come out to just his mom and mike overheard some of it and left before he got to the end where he was talking about mike and after the drama all cools down and they are safe he tells all of the people that really matter to him when he is ready and they all support and love him
- [ ] byler has been building up the whole show and was not handled correctly at all so i’m gonna fix that. they have both been in love with eachother for as long as they can remember, will has been aware of it since he knew what loving was but mike had no idea until he heard will come out to his mom and then everything popped into place and he spiraled for a while and thought over the last 10 years of his life for every detail that could have told him this sooner because when it comes to will he has always been an over thinker. will helps him save some of the stuff from his room after it was destroyed and the come across the painting from season 4 and mike asks about it and will finally has the courage to tell him el didnt ask for it and mike thinks oh shit this is my chance and tells will how he feels in a stupid impulsive way but will doesn’t care it wasn’t put together because he just wants mike so they awkwardly and slowly start dating and become that annoying codependent couple that knows everything about the other but it’s more endearing than you would think. they don’t tell anyone at first until it feels more comfortable and then mike comes out to the others and once they move out of hawkins for school they tell the group who is not very surprised but try to pretend for their friends
- [ ] lumax basically move in wirh eachother when max wakes up and they have some drama after the fights in season 4 but they love eachother so much and are in it for the long run. they go to the movies for date night as much as possible and max teaches lucas how to skate on the weekends. they fight about little things all the time but immediately fix it and will never break up again
- [ ] robin/vickie (sorry i don’t know the ship name is it maybe rockie) they stayed together for a while but when robin wanted to move they weren’t serious enough and they just weren’t as close as they used to be so they broke up before robin moved and vickie stayed close to hawkins but moved a few towns away
- [ ] specific character endings
- [ ] eleven would not have killed herself (that was insane) but would have pretended she was missing for the benefit of the government so they would think she was dead she would then stay home with hopper and joyce and learn how to be a person in the real world when you are not constantly fighting for your life
- [ ] mike will lucas dustin amd max would move to chicago or indianapolis amd all go to different schools/jobs but live hear eachother and see eachother almost daily (they are insanely codependent)
- [ ] mike goes to school for english specifically creative writing and slowly works on a book loosely based on the events of the show claiming he got his motivation from johnathan’s short film (keep reading) which he eventually publishes and it becomes very popular (he also does NOT get that shitty haircut) and he continues dnd night wirh the group and an even larger group game whenever everyone is together for the holidays he also had a lot of internalized homophobia and was insanely depressed throughout the whole show starting when will first disappeared but after he hears will come out and eventually talks to him about it he realizes that he is gay and has been in love with will as long as he can remember and that he loves el but it never felt like that wirh her he also finally gets put on antidepressants which really helps him center his life again after being thrown around so much
- [ ] will’s whole character is not about him being gay and nothing else he is soooo much more he is insanely smart and goes to school for something stem related but he also draws and takes different art classes in his free time and joins the art club at his school he loves to visit his friends but almost never goes back to hawkins unless there is a really good reason
- [ ] dustin started college as a biology major but switched it and added on an education minor because he looked up to mr clarke so much and wanted to see if he would be a good science teacher (he would)
- [ ] lucas would never want to feel useless in a hospital again amd cares immensely for everyone in his life and cannot stand to see any of them hurt without being able to help so he does emt training amd works as an emt in the same city thr others are going to school in. his parents are proud of him but erica makes fun of him every time they see eachother but she doesn’t really mean it because she secretly looks up to him for protecting her once she got over the feeling of being excluded
- [ ] max has basically become a part of the sinclair household wirh some drop ins as the 4th wheeler kid. her mom is trying to get her shit together but isn’t in a good place for a while after max wakes up. she majors in psychology at a community college and goes home to hawkins to stay with lucas and visit her mom at every break. she wants to be a counselor of some kind and try to help kids like her
- [ ] Johnathan would have gone to nyu and got in on a scholarship for his crazy sci fi short film he made out of upside down images he captured throughout the years and just didn’t tell anyone about
- [ ] nancy would have gone to boston for school wirh an english major but would have been so bored that she transferred to somewhere in dc and changed her major to journalism and got an internship as an investigative reporter
- [ ] steve and robin would move to new york and get an apartment together and they would work at the same place doing something boring but together and they would volunteer in the hospitals for aids patients and march in the streets for queer rights they would also have every 3 month meet ups wirh johnathan and nancy in nyc
- [ ] joyce and hopper would move an hour outside of whatever city will and the kids go to college in with el and the would all drive into the city once every month to see everyone and then report back to the other parents. joyce and hopper would also get married but a small courthouse marriage wirh their kids and murray and they get a dog
- [ ] ted and karen get divorced but both stay in hawkins for holly who is trauma bonded with her friends and can’t deal with more change after they got divorced
and they all lived happily ever after!!!!!!
