Hello! We are The Birdhouse Losers! (Said affectionately)

We are a fictive heavy system of 12 people! We currently don’t know of our origin and don’t really care much. We are collectively transmasc. We’re figuring this all out as we go along and it’s been pretty interesting. Collectively, you can call us Bird for individuals or Birds for a group. We collectively use he/they pronouns.

Arcturus👁️- Any pronouns with a preference for it/he. Transmasc and probably xenogender. I love music, art, acting, reading, and comics. I’m the current host of this disaster. I’m pretty much always around and that’s getting kinda old but whatever. I’m the main artist for this.

Red🐦‍🔥- He/they pronouns. Nonbinary, aromatic, bisexual, and polyamorous. I’m a fictive. Not telling you who I am but it’ll probably be obvious so you get three guesses. Yes I’m cool with doubles and most sourcemates and questions. I’m also the co-host, caretaker, and protector for this system. Which basically means I get the miserable job of trying to convince Arct to do things to stay functional. Like eating. Or sleeping. (Which, it definitely isn’t doing right now). I’m Arcturus and JJ’s older brother. I’m also the coolest in case you were wondering.

JJ🎭- he/she/they pronouns! I’m genderfluid and genderqueer! I’m also a fictive just like Red! I like making stuff and painting my nails and spinny office chairs! My favorite colors are green and purple and I want a pet rat.

B🛡️- He/it pronouns. Agender. Protector. I like birds I guess.

Cam📸- Any pronouns preference for he/him. Bisexual. I like pop punk music and coffee but everyone else thinks that’s disgusting so I have to settle for chocolate milk. Not around much.

Polaris🪐- he/they. Trans guy. I love space and astronomy/astrophysics. (He also makes a ton of trump impressions which is both annoying and hilarious-👁️). I have been banned from watching Interstellar but really we all have.

R🪶- He/him. Logical. I enjoy having all the information. JJ has decided we are friends so I guess there’s that. I, like literally 8/11 of us, am a fictive. Unsure of my opinion on that. I like the color brown but orange brown, not red brown or yellow brown.

Something interesting I’ve noticed, specifically as a member of a system that has a hard time telling who’s fronting, is just how little who you are matters in daily life. It doesn’t matter if I don’t know what name or pronouns I use if I’m just doing homework. It doesn’t matter how old I am if I’m working on an art project. No one cares about my favorite color or favorite song if I’m at the store. And sure, some things will be different. But if you simply don’t know it doesn’t have much effect.

Pros of being a fictive: I get to read about myself, watch movies about myself, play video games AS MYSELF, and see super fucking awesome fan art! (The fan art might be the best part tbh)

Cons of being a fictive: Watching writers butcher my character. Holy shit man. Sometimes it’s good but when they fuck things up they go all in.
