SwanQueen IS intentional

I keep seeing posts saying that SQ wasn’t intentional in the beginning, but then they started adding it when people saw it as romantic.

AND I AM SHOOKETH

THEY made it queer from the start, people simply picked up on it. When they shot the Pilot and the first couple of episodes, there was NO AUDIENCE yet. Emma was queer coded and I’m not just talking about that shot of her kicking off her heels after the job (aka fake date with a stupid dude). I mean, just fucking look at her here!!

Think about it for a second!! If the show was always just supposed to set them up as RIVALING MOTHERS (lmaooo), why the fuck did they write Henry out of the scene as quickly as they could?! The kid was there for a couple of seconds and then out of their hair! The whole drinking thing also makes it more erotic/romantic/passionate… I mean, remember that overview shot of the hallway with Emma following Regina? I mean the whole thing could be the set up for a porn. And the way Regina hands her the glass, how they look into each other’s eyes… If they didn’t want to set SQ up, they could have gone for apple juice or whatever.

Why the shy “Hi” and the staring at each other??? That’s a classic romantic meet cute!!! Sit your ass down, imagine that you are writing a scene of an adoptive mother meeting her child’s birth mother. This is so not what you would end up with unless there was something else on your mind. (No, a curse and a Savior doesn’t explain it either.)

And then the second episode, still no audience response yet when this was written and shot.

Emma is wearing almost nothing for NO GOOD REASON. The whole scene is threatening and seductive. If it were just threatening, it would NOT HAVE LOOKED LIKE THIS. I MEAN, I AM SURE THEY BOTH WANTED TO JUMP THE OTHER AND ONLY AFTER THAT GET RID OF THEM, YOU FEEL ME??

So excuse me, but DON’T LET THEM OFF THE HOOK for ANYTHING! The writers invited a female queer audience, and they got it! Nobody is fucking delusional, okay?! or I’ll punch a… lesbophobe. It was always there, they put it there! If you think they didn’t create Swan Queen, then you’re taking the blame off of the writer’s shoulders. End of the story. Merde.

Remember how nervous she got when she first met Henry’s adopted mother. She was nonchalant and aloof as she brought Henry back home, but just one look at Madam Mills made her go “hot gayum!” and weak on the knees. See that nervous lick to her dry lips, gaze intense on Regina? Poor gay baby!

And again, just look how she left the mayor’s place. She looks as aroused as she also seems overwhelmed by Regina’s intense character. She could be putty in her hands for all she cared, but where’s the fun in that? Let’s challenge. ;)

Impossible to forget she was the one who asked “Got anything stronger” [than her apple cider] after taking a glance at her chest. The THIRST was real!!! JFC that’s in text! Emma was legit flirting with Regina. Unintentional my ass. For Emma, food/drinks = flirtation. I’ll show you in a little bit.

Octavia Spencer Says Jessica Chastain Helped Her Get Five Times Her Salary: ‘She Is Walking the Walk’

“I have a story, and you guys are gonna be the first to hear it,” said Spencer to a panel on Women Breaking Barriers at the Sundance Film Festival. Fifteen months ago, Chastain approached her about doing a movie together. (The two have been good friends since they both starred in “The Help”).

“She wants to do comedies, and I wanna break out of period pieces,” she said as the crowd chuckled. “I love ’em! They’ve been kind to me! But I kinda wanna play someone who resembles me in some fashion.”

When the subject of pay equity between men and women came up, Spencer agreed wholeheartedly: “We were dropping F-bombs and getting it all out there. And then I said, ‘But here’s the thing, women of color on that spectrum, we make far less than white women. So, if we’re gonna have that conversation about pay equity, we gotta bring the women of color to the table.’ And I told her my story, and we talked numbers, and she was quiet, and she said she had no idea that that’s what it was like for women of color.”

Spencer paused as she choked up. “These are happy tears!” she assured the crowd. “I love that woman, because she’s walking the walk and she’s actually talking the talk. She said, ‘Octavia, we’re gonna get you paid on this film. You and I are gonna be tied together. We’re gonna be favored nations, and we’re gonna make the same thing.’ Fast forward to last week, we’re making five times what we asked for.”
