I'm not fully sure what my gender is, so feel free to use any pronouns!! They'll probably help me figure it out. (All I know is that whenever anyone calls me Berry Boy (you know who you are) I get a lot of gender euphoria so keep at it)

Okay, no, but REALLY, can we talk about the fact that Goat created a game that's not segregated by sex!!! Like the hero our protagonist looks up to is a female player!!! And she's the best in the game!!! And she didn't earn a special place as the only female character by being super special amazing. She's one of many female players and just happens to be the best because someone has to be the best. I cannot overstate how important and impactful a decision for the writers to have made, especially in this day and age where the anti-girl-power sentiment has been so successfully eroded in the campaign against trans people. And Goat went there and didn't have any debates about it. Just: it's about the players and the team, and that's it. Anybody can be a great player. A smaller player will have a harder time against bigger players, but it's not determined by gender. It's just about skill.

And can we appreciate how the female designs are NOT weirdly or overly sexualized!!!

Ok so I've been thinking.

It is CLEAR to me that Alex Kapranos and Alex Huntley are two different people. Alex Kapranos is the confident, sexy, kinda weird but ok frontman of Franz Ferdinand. Alex Huntley is Kapranos' predecessor, a man with sideburns and a strange old school accent who probably drinks whiskey far too often.

So then who is this awkward guy??????

This is legitimately useful reframing. A while ago I started replacing the word "cop" in my vocabulary with "a man with a gun." It really puts things into perspective.

It makes it very clear what you're saying. I can call a man with a gun to threaten or hurt someone mildly inconveniencing me. You're not calling the cops, you're calling A MAN WITH A GUN into a situation that does not warrant a firearm handled by a volatile lunatic who will not be held accountable for his actions.
