Messing with LDA Digimon lines again for if I did an actual story for it
Takumi
A massively streamlined version of Takumi’s line. Alphamon is often treated as stronger than Dorugoramon so it’s treated as a higher state. Vritramon actually was used in an RP I did with my friend on one version of an idea. I think it works pretty well as a transition into Dorugoramon as the “Ultimate Enemy”. It’s a rather volatile demon dragon which will work well for him crashing out in route 0. It’s also mainly red with blue eyes which I think actually makes it work well as a Tyrannomon evo. Which of course also makes it look like Takumi. A slight change I’d make is make Dorugoramon’s flames blue. I actually found a name for this Agumon variant which makes me feel comfortable in using it now. For those who don’t know it’s from Digimon World ReDigitize.
Fancy format
There’s no Death-X-Mon Vital Bracelet sprite.
Darumi
I also took another stab at Darumi post-Retsnom. I think this could work well with her mega being Retsnom. Arkadiamon is the most similar to Retsnom. The aquatic Digimon has a bit of a horror theme considering she does joke about horror with the Retsnom stuff. I think that would just fit too.
Tsubasa
QueenBeemon is good at building and a worker bee or worker bees would be very useful for helping her build stuff.
Kamyuhn
Holy + Bow
Commanders
Going along with the fandom idea that Murvurm would be the protagonist if the Commanders were the focus. I don’t think anything fits V’ehxness better than Lucemon.
Agumon (Red V-Ron Sprite)
It’s basically a sprite edit of the Vital Bracelet Agumon sprites. For simplicity I’d probably just call it Agumon R.
Important note: Takemaru only attacked the males here.
Based on my replay of DS where I named the MC Takumi so that I could use the nickname Takky. Ever since I did that I have been imagining a version of DS with LDA characters. It has resulted in a bunch of jokes I’ll eventually make edits for like this one. This is based on the moment where Atsuro beat the MC to reaching Kaido and proceeded to obliterate both of his demons. Meanwhile Midori went on a little side quest where she one turned Honda. Their roles are inherited from the DS characters not their stats. Hilariously it feels like some au of KG where Gaku never died. I have ended up christening the trio of Takumi, Tsubasa, and Gaku as Ed Edd n’ Eddy.
Takumi-Kazuya (MC)
Nozomi-Amane (They have a similarly horrible and traumatic upbringing)
Eito-Naoya (They’re friends instead of related and he literally wants to get God to destroy humanity by rebelling)
Hiruko-Undecided
Tsubasa-Atsuro
Gaku-Yuzu
Takemaru-Kaido
Ima-Honda (has them both fixated on protecting Kako)
Kako-Mari
Shouma-Undecided
Kyoshika-Midori
Kurara-Keisuke (entirely because Kyoshika is Midori)
Moko-Undecided
Yugamu-Undecided
I play like an Yugioh player so if you ever want to know what demons Takumi is using at any point in time it’s the highest level available demons with Evil/Chaos Wave and Double Up. Because letting my enemy fight back is cringe with how hard this game is. I literally placed Atsuro in front of Belial cutting off his only path to the MC and Evil Waved him from afar until he died.
Aichi has the blue puppy which is surprisingly dangerous. Still wish it had a better ultimate oof. But, nothing else really fits here well. His corrupted section is the longest because he gets turned bad as often as the red puppy.
I can’t deny that I really like Erlangmon for Aichi. Like it also has the eye ability and illusions. Also it’s got a little friend too (I guess you could consider it a Legion) and is good hearted.
Really could find much that wasn’t virus to transition into BlitzGreymon. There is certainly some theming there with Aichi’s partner going from virus to vaccine and Kai’s doing the opposite. BlitzGreymon feels close to the END while Gaioumon is representing the Star Vaders here.
Went for her partner being Assistacat. Digimon, where’s Tsukuyomimon at? You have Amaterasu. So because there’s no Tsukuyomi umm this is the closest thing. Please release Tsukuyomi soon.
Kamui’s mega is supposed to be reminiscent of Victor. With the ultra being for G series Kamui. His line is martial arts themed.
The less streamlined early versions
Ahh… I also like FenrirLoogamon. Choosing Digimon is hard.
Sorry I meant to update this sooner. I’ve been preoccupied with other fics. Hopefully the next update won’t take as long.
Chapter 6 Japan Divided
Everyone looked up in the air to see a light that could easily destroy all. Many tried praying and groveling, feeling utterly helpless. The Digimon partners rushed to shield their partners.
Was this… the end?
SWWWWWEEEEEEENNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!
BOOOOOOOOMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Without warning the mass of light was suddenly split apart. The source of it was a powerful kick. A familiar wyvern Digimon suddenly appeared out of nowhere and hit the attack just as it was so close to wiping out everything. They looked hopeful before there was a rumbling. The brunt of the attack didn’t hit but weakened scattered fragments hit the ground. With it the ground suddenly started opening up and Dynasmon disappeared again, undoubtedly to protect Aichi.
“C-Crap! Crap!”, Miwa panicked as his footing became unstable.
Kai tried to reach out for him. Tremors were ripping through the ground making standing difficult. Beezlemon made a reappearance and smirked.
“Oh… this could be fun.”, Beezlemon said.
Using this situation to his advantage the parts breaking away from the tremors were forced apart. They suddenly went flying without warning. Kai felt sick and his head was ringing at the sudden movement. Dracomon held onto him tightly as he shielded him. His head was throbbing and he fainted.
And when he woke up next…
He could feel something under him moving and smelt salt. His cheek was suddenly wet after he heard a wave. Slowly his eyes opened and he saw an open sea. In the distance were landmasses of various sizes. For a moment his mouth widened. Briefly he thought he had to be dreaming. This… just didn’t make sense but…
“Kai!”, Dracomon called out.
Kai sat up still stunned by everything that happened. He looked over to see Dracomon. The piece of land they were on was hardly bigger than your average boat.
“What…?”, Kai questioned, stunned.
This was unlike anything he’s ever seen. He has always heard of the threat of destruction but… seeing this was something else.
“Everything got split up. Beezlemon forced the land apart after it started to break.”, Dracomon explained.
“Are the others…?”, Kai questioned.
“I… think they should be fine. If I could shield you the other Digimon could for them.”, Dracomon assured.
Kai sat back trying to process the situation he was suddenly in. It looked completely and utterly hopeless. He was suddenly at sea after the ground around him broke apart. When he looked around he could see skyscrapers sinking into the sea. That and other landmasses adrift.
Elsewhere…
“Are you—Oh my…”, Misaki gasped.
When she looked out she saw what was going on. She was with Emi, Heirssmon, and Miwa. A nervous sweat fell from his cheek.
“T-This isn’t real, right?”, Miwa questioned.
“W-What happened to everyone else? Aichi? Mom?”, Emi questioned in clear panic.
Herissmon looked rather frightened by the situation. Misaki looked over to Miwa with a panicked look. He seemed to be just as panicked.
“Is… everyone else alive?”, Misaki whispered, so that Emi couldn’t hear.
“I-I don’t know…”, Miwa replied quietly.
It was difficult to keep up any sort of hopeful demeanor. How could they in this situation? One blessing they had was that their chunk of land was bigger. It at least looked like a decently sized land mass. They looked back over to see people in the water desperately trying to reach onto land. Emi put her hand over her mouth looking horrified. They were far away and the land mass was too big to feasibly move.
“H-Help!”, people begged.
They struggled to keep their heads above water. It seemed like they very well might drown. With how far away they were saving them didn’t look to be possible.
Elsewhere…
“That didn’t turn out well…”, Dynasmon thought.
He was forced to make a very sudden decision to prevent everyone from dying. There wasn’t much time to think. His goal was to completely destroy the attack but it was one of Daemon’s. So… it wasn’t so easy. The attack was drastically weakened but could still easily make the entirety of Japan’s landmass unstable. The first thing he did afterwards was to rush to try not to lose him. Thankfully he didn’t. Aichi was somehow still asleep through that which was suspicious. It was a miracle that his house was still together.
“I wonder what you would have done.”, he thought.
Considering how Aichi has pulled through many times before he thought that he undoubtedly would have handled things better. Thinking wasn’t exactly Dynasmon’s strong suit. He was pointed at an enemy and attacked. He never really tried to defend. That was part of the problem.
“And now I’m just in here as the humans struggle… but what am I to do? I don’t have anyone to tell me.”, Dynasmon thought.
It wasn’t like he could just leave Aichi alone either in this state. Who knows what could happen.
Elsewhere…
Gatomon stood on a pole on high to get a good view of what was going on. Everything shattered easier than she could have ever guessed. Earth seemed to be more fragile than the Digital World.
“…”
She saw people slipping underneath the waves and getting devoured by an animal that she thought looked like Sharkmon. For a moment she felt something. It was something she quickly pushed down.
“How peculiar… Why would I feel anything towards such weaklings?”, Gatomon thought.
Gatomon heard people talking and spied on them from her perch. It seemed there were some on the landmass she was on.
With Kai…
“What are we even supposed to do? How do you overcome something like this?”, Kai thought.
His eyes scanned around for any sort of advantage but he was on a tiny piece of land in the middle of sea. There was absolutely nothing to latch onto. Things looked utterly hopeless. His hands were shaking as they pressed against the ground.
“M-Maybe… we could try rowing to somewhere bigger?”, Dracomon suggested.
Kai looked over to him silently with an incredulous expression. Dracomon sweated nervously as he put his hands together.
“Or I could digivolve… if you remember how to activate that. If I digivolved I could fly both of us.”, Dracomon added.
“That’s something I guess…”, Kai replied.
He looked at his digivice. Honestly it was still extremely new to him and difficult to understand exactly how he’d Digivolve. From what he knew from the v-pets you needed to train your Digimon a certain way. He wasn’t sure how to do that where he was.
Dracomon meekly tried to row with his hands. Surprisingly the land did actually move. The Digimon were actually decently strong which took Kai off guard once again. It didn’t look strong but appearances were quite deceiving. Dracomon’s paddling was almost like a propeller.
And… they were going the wrong way.
“Oh sorry.”, Dracomon apologized, clearly not knowing what he’s doing.
Dracomon tried going in the right direction this time after trial and error. Kai couldn’t find anything to row with. All he could try to use right now was his hands. This would take awhile…
The Digimon looked eager to help in any way possible which provided some assurance. When Kai tried rowing he got his sleeves soaked but he would be damned if he did nothing. It was really cold. Eventually he took his blazer off, wrapped it around his waist, and rolled up his sleeves.
“I just have to hope that the others were lucky. That’s not something I’m great at.”, Kai thought.
It wasn’t like he could just stay here and despair. Both of them were going to eventually get hungry. Though, he wasn’t entirely sure that he would find much of anything. This looked apocalyptic.
Besides all of that this made assembling all of the Digidestined almost impossible. That was also assuming that everyone survived. He tried to just think about rowing but it got to him as the hours marched on.
“It will be okay. We can find the others.”, Dracomon assured, more positive than him.
They were getting close to the bigger land mass and he was soaked. He was sweating as he tried to keep going. It was only through pure willpower that he kept rowing. His arm felt like it would fall off. His vision was getting blurry.
“I thought I knew despair… I didn’t understand a thing.”, Kai thought as he panted and sweated.
Despite the despair Dracomon kept on going. It was almost as if he was completely oblivious to it. He supposed the drive to live may have overcome any feelings of despair. Thinking about the now instead of what happens next.
Meanwhile Kai couldn’t help but be troubled by what comes next. Just thinking about what may have happened to everyone made his resolve weaken. If everyone was gone then just what was he fighting for? Was fixing everything even possible at this point? He doubted that winning would just undo this.
How would they live after this?
That was assuming that they could even make it. That much was extremely uncertain.
Then there was a violent shaking. He nearly fell off the makeshift raft and Dracomon pressed him down onto it to stop him from falling. White tendrils popped out near the ground beneath them rocking it. Kai looked over to see something horrifying. It was a massive white squid. It had no eyes and just markings over where eyes would be. As it surfaced they nearly capsized.
It opened its mouth to reveal a row of horrifying sharp teeth that could easily tear through flesh. Its tendrils tilted the land mass downwards trying to make them slip into its massive mouth.
“Baby Breath!”, Dracomon called out as it blew a fire ball at the Digimon.
It seemed to hardly do anything as it struck it. Kai’s eyes widened in horror and Dracomon hastily tried flying. Considering how stubby his wings are and the fact that he tried to carry Kai he didn’t get far. The aquatic Digimon laughed with a horrifying laugh that sounded like some sort of demon. The land beneath them was easily being crushed by the monster.
“What are we supposed to do? I can’t… I’m supposed to be strong but I can’t do a thing. I’ve mostly had to lean on Dracomon.”, Kai thought.
Kai’s heart was beating faster than it ever has in his life. The helplessness he felt was utterly suffocating. What he was strong at was completely useless here and he was likely to die. Even now he still needed Dracomon who tried to get him away, but they both ended up falling in the water.
“Why are you helping me? Just save yourself…”, Kai murmured.
His top half was barely above water as Dracomon tried to pull him out. He was clearly strained from flying. If Dracomon left him he could probably get away. Water started to get into his nose and mouth.
“Why would I do that? We’re friends.”, Dracomon questioned.
There it was again…
Friends.
There was a sense of familiarity towards the Digimon that he couldn’t describe. One of one long lost.
“I know you don’t remember me, but you’re still important to me, Kai! I’m not going to just leave you no matter what!”, Dracomon declared.
The tendrils whipped forward at them like snakes. His heart rate accelerated more. He was completely helpless. That was something he had to accept. What it took to save the day now was different than the norm. He needed Dracomon…
His mind flashed back to Aichi welcoming him back briefly. That was after everything he done. In the end despite the strength he tried to acquire on his own he needed help. He saw when he fought the Void recently too. Even then it still wasn’t enough. He just wasn’t strong enough on his own. To have any chance of survival he needed to accept help.
“I need help…”, Kai thought.
He clutched his Digivice. Over the course of this whole incident he felt his own pride shattered. He felt weak… this must be how it felt for so many others. Because he was weak he needed to accept help.
“Dracomon!”, Kai called out as his Digivice started glowing.
The tendrils stalled recoiling from a holy light that illuminated the area.
“Dracomon digivolve to…”, Dracomon said as he was wrapped in light.
The light filled him with a power unlike anything Kai had witnessed before. Dracomon started rapidly growing in size, gaining an increase in power that usually happened over years in an instant. Suddenly he was the size of an adult dragon.
“Coredramon!”, Dracomon finished.
When he emerged from the light his scales were a dark blue. All of his limbs got longer and more muscular. He easily grabbed Kai with his tail and put him on his back. The squid Digimon became annoyed at them suddenly escaping, slipping into its mouth. It tried to grab at them from below with its tendrils. Those that got close were whipped away with Coredramon’s tail which actually made the tendrils red. The attacking Digimon winced with pain.
Kai looked down at the Digimon who tried to eat them furrowing his eyebrows. That was not something he appreciated at all. He felt that it was time for payback.
“Burn this kalamari to ashes!”, Kai ordered as he pointed at it.
“Oh wow—Well it does seem like very bad news. Alrighty!”, Coredramon replied.
Coredramon charged up a powerful blue flame. The squid Digimon tried to prepare an attack of his own but it was too slow. A pillar of blue flames was shot vaporizing the water that the aquatic Digimon tried to fire out.
“Squire Dome!”, the squid Digimon called out.
“Blue Flare Breath!”, Coredramon called out.
It impacted the enemy harshly, making it scream. The attack seemed to hit a weak point as it sunk back into the sea. Kai stared feeling unsure about if it was over. He only allowed himself to let out a relieved breath once he was on solid ground again with Coredramon. He was still shaking but he felt relieved. To be protected by someone he cared for… it was a strange feeling.
“… Thank you.”, Kai said.
Kai slumped, feeling utterly exhausted and humiliated. He had prided himself on individual strength for so long. But, such pride would do nothing for him here. All it would bring is his own death. The truth was that he needed the power of a Digimon. That meant working with Dracomon.
But has he ever been truly alone?
Cray was real and so were his units. They have been at his side the whole time. When he thinks about it this way he supposed he was never truly alone. Even when he isolated himself from others.
Coredramon slumps as well, sweating. His stomach rumbles loudly.
“I’m hungry…”, Coredramon replied.
It didn’t look like he was going to get up for a while… Coredramon fell asleep and dedigivolved. Kai had to carry him into a building in his exhausted state so that they had somewhere safe to rest. He just stared out into the distance as he leaned against the wall. He’d need to dry his clothes and get warm too or he’d get sick.
With the others…
The group of four walked around the area cautiously. They didn’t really have a specific destination in mind and simply wanted to become acquainted with their surroundings. Emi looked extremely downcast and Misaki kept her close. It was difficult to even pretend to be positive especially in this situation… after what they saw. Miwa didn’t crack any sort of jokes. An uncomfortable silence hung over them. They knew that they couldn’t do much if a Digimon attacked. All they had was a child Digimon to rely on. That wasn’t much.
They were all starting to get hungry. Emi dipped her head as she felt the pain of hunger. Misaki stopped and looked around. She grabbed a rock and threw it at a vending machine. This made the others jump as the violent sound of glass shattering was heard. Misaki approached it carefully, avoiding shards and edges to pull out some food.
“But… isn’t that stealing?”, Emi questioned.
“…Let’s not worry about that right now.”, Misaki replied.
“Just keep your strength up. Uh here.”, Miwa said as he handed Emi the food.
Emi looked down at it as sweat fell from her brow. Heirssmon dug right into the food he was given without issue. She looked over to him and back to the food. She was really hungry. It wasn’t something she liked but she might just have to accept it for now.
Just what kind of situation had they got themselves in?
To accept this so readily… It didn’t seem like there was much of an alternative. Staying steadfast to morals in a situation like this would only jeopardize their survival. That was an unfortunate truth…
Somewhere in the air…
“This is a mess…”, Crusadermon commented.
She was holding up a bunch of people who were soaked. They were placed onto dry land. Kourin was on her back desperately looking for the others.
“You’re right about that… But I suppose it would have been worse.”, Kourin replied.
Crusadermon shook her head as they took off again.
“You’re right. It all happened so suddenly that there wasn’t much time to think. Dynasmon can’t do much without orders either.”, Crusadermon said.
“He must be with Aichi right now. He left immediately…”, Kourin replied.
That did certainly make her wonder but she couldn’t really ignore the people right in front of her right now. No one else could save them. Not that she knew of. It seemed like Aichi was inactive which was bad. Hopefully it wasn’t just her. She just hoped to find anyone she could for right now.
With Dynasmon…
Dynasmon stayed by Aichi’s side unsure of what to do. He didn’t want to leave Aichi alone in this state. Carrying him on his back while he was asleep as well could be dangerous. So all he could do was wait as chaos happened around him.
To have so much power yet be so helpless. It was a horrible feeling. He balled up his fists tightly.
With Aichi…
Then, how about this…”, Aichi said.
The Void stood to attention. It seemed to know what Aichi was thinking.
“Let’s cardfight. Winner takes all. I win and you leave. You win and I’m yours.”, Aichi suggested.
A sinister smirk crept onto the Void’s lips. It knew something he didn’t.
“Are you certain? If you lose now then your soul is mine.”, the Void replied.
The bluenette looked nervous, fully aware of this.
“I’m sure. This wouldn’t be the first time.”, Aichi replied.
The Void’s smirk widened, looking completely inhuman. It started laughing.
“You are truly a fool. Fine… let’s cardfight.”, the Void accepted.

The less streamlined early versions
Ahh… I also like FenrirLoogamon. Choosing Digimon is hard.
Dog definitely. Personally I imagine him as a German Shepherd. They’re very protective and part of their fur is black (like the black streak Takumi has).
I absolutely agree with the sentiment. I love the guy wholeheartedly and the constant jokes about killing him just make me feel uncomfortable. Don’t think Takumi deserves even half of the slander the fandom throws his way.
LDD Update: A lazy sprite to go with the lazy edit
It’s in the style of SMT sprites. Takumi is the latest Proto-Fiend as the story begins. After a deadly encounter with a demon he wakes up with a new body that’s an anti-demon weapon. It’s infused with the essence of a deity giving it great power far surpassing normal technology.
Sirei: He has plenty of great features! You can fit so much murder into such a compact package! His blade lights up with flames making it the hotter than any laser sword on the market. Not to mention the resilience to withstand getting torn to shreds and thrown straight into hell. His personality is perfectly docile too which is really good for business. Did I mention in his divine form he’s about 15 meters tall? Kronos is a titan after all so he gets really tall. That’s as tall as the Attack Titan for comparison for all you weebs out there. He can easily clear out hordes of demons like this. Especially when he’s in the middle of transforming! There’s fire everywhere when he does that so please stay a safe distance away from him when he transforms. He’s got all the usual features too including: built-in communication, memory banks, eye scanners, life detection, an entire compendium’s worth of knowledge on demon weaknesses, and a helpful supercomputer in his head to help his less than stellar intelligence.
His divine form:
For those curious about the fic:
An Archive of Our Own, a project of the Organization for Transformative Works
The first half of the first arc has been released. I’m working on the second half which will be released all at once.
Personally I chose ShineGreymon because I was pretending to play as Takumi.
What I found:
-If you can defeat Arcadiamon (mega) you can beat the rest of the game
-For this reason at least for story quests I would say that vaccine is the best. Two of the hardest bosses are virus.
-Invest a lot into speed
-Cross Counter is your best friend
-Invest in Status Barrier it will save you a lot of headache
-Use a better Digimon than I did🤣. Honestly I used it to stress test how possible solo runs are. I definitely would have had an easier time with Slayerdramon.
-This may be possible without items. Personally I used items.
-You will need to optimize whatever Digimon you choose to use in stats and skills
