GUYS THIS TOOK ME SOOOO LONGGGGGGGGG
and jokes on me cause I literally dk how to write and abhor finishing stuff plus mixed with me getting more and more ideas-
ANYWHO, the origins of the comic came from my rewatch when I believe it’s in episode 10? post the red garnet idea is thrown out and then in 12 in the red garnet chambers where hordak gives catra and co the permission to have the black garment, (BONUS FIRST ENTRAPDAK CRUMBS GUYS FIRST TIME WE SEE THEM IN THE SAME FRAME HIGH FIVE) and kicks shadow weaver out. but in the scene catra seems to have already known of this outcome and was very cocky to SW prior to hordak showing up- so yes, you could just assume imp just happened to overheard & told hordak and catra was hoping for the best in this scenario, though I felt like it was implied he gave her the ok himself already especially with their gangs reaction or lack of one when he says the princess can touch it however she likes-
TLDR: I just felt like it was always implied to be a separate meeting between the group that we didn’t see and the comic is set between those episodes!
