Normcore, a term coined very recently, describes a trend that would rather not be seen as a trend. In a world of over-the-top fashion, normcore creates a different statement in the sense that less is more. The more "normal" something is now, the more it stands out among the self-titled "unique" trends of this time. Almost a revival of the 1990's, normcore involves a collaboration of the mom/dad jean, corduroy, trainers, and a sense of style that embraces "sameness."
After a tease of warmer weather this weekend, we are definitely in the mood for some colourful sunnies! Pictured here are the Nina model sunglasses from Black Eyewear.
PFW is over, and one of the recurrent themes we saw was mystical fairy-tale. Two of the most memorable would have to be Dolce & Gabbana's fairy-tale (left) and Alexander McQueen's eerie and mythical walk in the woods (right)
A very eccentric type of style could possibly sweep tomorrow's hipsters off their feet! Photographer Stacy Thiot's husband's beard is her newest medium in her series "Will It Beard."
Mrs Prada's redefinition of the usual seems to be a continuing theme in Miu Miu, especially exemplified by the shoes in the A/W 14 collection at Paris Fashion Week.
Alexander McQueen AW14 @ Paris Fashion Week
Paris Fashion Week never disapoints in the street style category.
Grocery shopping has never been so chic! Chanel presented their Autumn/Winter ready- to -wear collection at PFW, exciting viewers with show decor that looked like a supermarket- complete with everything from Chanel eggs to Chanel pasta. The collection featured their classic tweed coats in an array of colors, often paired with trainers or knee- high lace up boots. Much more fabulous than the average morning stop for milk.

Manish Arora's fabulously colourful AW14 collection at Paris Fashion Week
Carven at Paris Fashion Week today featured models grasping small clutches to their chests clad in jewel tones, over the knee black boots, and pops of leopard print. A very versatile and classic collection.
Paris Fashion Week started quietly today. Damir Doma showed his lovely and understated collection featuring cosy knitwear and wooly tartan. More excitement to come in the next few days
