life update: I bought a floor loom!!! I now have a 60” 4 shaft floor loom set up in my basement!

I wove two scarves and some extra bits to make bags as a test to make sure I had it set up right and today I’m going to be warping for my wedding shawls (4 months to make 7 shawls 30 epi, 40ish ppi, surely nothing will go wrong)

but then After all my wedding weaving is done, I’m going to weave a cloth for my shrine and eventually fabric to make a chiton for rituals. But I may make some yardage for medieval historical costuming in between those, we’ll see

#something has already gone wrong btw with making the warp for the second batch of shawls so i gave uo and need to order more thread #but in theory the first warp has enough for four shawls so im gonna do those and then redo the warp for the last 3 shawls #weaving #my practice

started doing some weaving for my wedding! right now I’m making pocket squares for the groomsmen, dads, and my fiancé, then I’ll be making shawls for myself, the bridesmaids, and the moms.

my selvages aren’t great and I’m definitely struggling with draw-in, but I’m still really pleased with myself considering this is my first completely solo multi-shaft loom project. Previously I’ve only done one group project on a 45” 4-shaft loom and a scarf in a Weaving 1 course on a 16” (I think?) 4-shaft table loom

been alternating between listening to audiobooks and music for Kirke while I weave
