i hate how non-canon ships have become so controversial nowadays, like i just miss how most people were multi-shippers. we even used to ship characters that were in different fandoms, what happened to that??

anyways. i miss the days when online fandom spaces were about enjoying the stories and characters and not about picking them apart and complaining about stuff not going exactly as we headcanoned or shipped. fanon is fun. but it’s not supposed to be all or nothing when it comes to enjoying the canon material.

if fandom or canon isn’t fun for you anymore, it’s ok to not be apart of it. it’s better actually. for you and for the people who do still enjoy it. stop surrounding yourself with negativity in spaces that aren’t supposed to be serious. there is enough negativity in the world that we must deal with. it’s important to find joy in your free time.
