Audio: Kid Cudi - Immortal
We're back, and so is Kid Cudi. I know I say we're back alot but like Ferris Bueller says "Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it." is totally true. I couldn't resist to share this new Cudi with y'all so check it out and turn it up! It's DOPE! Mixtape: Curren$y - New Jet City
While I was away the whole format of the blog posting has changed so I'm not sure how to resize the picture how we use to, but I guess this will do for the time being. Furthermore Spitta dropped another project while the Super Bowl was on, and legend has it that the dropping of it was what cause the outage that evening. Anywho, I've only gotten 5 tracks deep and it's already solid.
This tape features the likes of Jadakiss, Rick Ross, French Montana, & Trinidad James, as well as some of the usual suspects like Wiz Khalifa, Trademark, & Young Roddy. Speaking of Roddy, dudes been putting in work and it shows his spit game is improving dramatically.
Overall the tape is solid, and at this point the Jets cannot do any wrong. Do yourself a favor and download this to your hard drive ASAP, than just enjoy it fool!

Additionally I had to bring to you guys this video off of the Gainesville, FL crew Hundred Waters self titled debut. Honestly this is one of my favorite tracks off of the album and sounds even better live! Speaking of live, HW just dropped their new tour itinerary which can be found below. Video: Flying Lotus - Tiny Tortures
The good son Elijah Wood appears in the crazy visual from the latest single off of Flying Lotus' "Until The Quiet Comes" album. Director David Lewandowski really put his foot in this one ESPECIALLY with the visuals. I would describe this short as Requeim For A Dream on steroids. If you haven't checked out the album as of yet, what are you waiting for?
Marc Anthony - Live at the Amway Center - 9/18/11
I must admit, we post all facets of music here at The Concrete Floor. Let me correct that, all facets of GOOD music, no Kanye (and please keep in mind that everything isn't good music, that's an argument for another day). Any who last year we had an opportunity to shoot one of Salsa musics biggest stars to date, Marc Anthony.
The evening started off with Aguanile, Marcs cover of the legendary Hector Lavoe song which at this point in time Marc has definitely made it his. I had to point this song out since it is one that when Marc performs it, will give you chills. It definitely gives him an opportunity to showcase his vocal range. The night moved on and he blazed through several of his biggest hits such as I Need to Know, Valió la Pena, You Sang to Me, and of course Te Conozco Bien.
I've personally seen Marc perform several times, but I definitely have to say this is one of the times I've seen him live and he looked like he was having too much fun on stage. He was very engaged with the audience, he showcased his band with more solos, and overall had this excitement in him that was beyond noticeable. All of this could have been because of the turmoil he was experiencing in his life at the time. If so he definitely put his heart on his sleeve for the audience to take home. If your into salsa music or just good music period and have an opportunity to check out Marc Anthony (arguably the best Salsa singer of this generation), please take advantage.

Throwback Thursday: Amy Winehouse - Halftime
I know that it's been a while since we've done a Throwback Thursday segment but today was definitely a day to do so. I know the posthumous release is just about a year old, but the weather I experienced today made me bring this album out. And quite frankly we post what we like, no holds barred. The Nightlife EPs standout track (to me atleast) gets a creepy visual that features this black cube, hooded characters, and of course the Phantogram duo. This is going to hold over for newness from the crew until a new project drops.

David Longstreth and co. return for the holiday season with an EP of songs that were left on the cutting room floor for the critically acclaimed Swing Lo Magellan. Below is the first audio offering of this project, and is also a tribute to TV on the Radio's late bassist Gerard Smith. Dead Prez live at The Social 8/17/11
I know we've been absent from live coverage for a while, but we got about a years worth of awesome shows we had the opportunity to cover. The first one we bring you is none other than the revolutionary but gangsta Dead Prez.
DP blessed the stage at The Social back in August of 2011, with a memorable dope opening from DJ Kitty Bat & Danny Venegas from the Lazy Afternoon crew. After those guys set the mood right Stic.Man & M-1 took over and ran through classics like Hell Yeah, & Hip Hop. Their entourage did endless push ups on stage while Stic.Man performed Back on my Regimen from his The Workout project (and that stands out because the message that song portrays isn't something you would typically hear from the Hip Hop community). The crew also went on to perform cuts from other solo projects like Manhood, Confidential, and their Turn off the Radio series of mixtapes.
It's not often Orlando, FL gets artist of their caliber show up in such an intimate venue like The Social. So consider it a blessing if you were in the building that evening. Hit the jump below for some more pictures.
Video: Rza & The Black Keys - Baddest Man Alive
The Abbot, along with Dan Auerbach and Pat Carney from The Black Keys fight over a fortune cookie in all blaxploitation glory over the track they collaborated on for The Man with the Iron Fists soundtrack. As a bonus we included the animated prequel and newest trailer to the movie due out November 2nd (which we are eagerly awaiting to see). The soundtrack is out right now and is one to definitely add to any Wu Bangers collection. Bong Bong.
Audio: Tame Impala - Feels Like We Only Go Backwards
I know that's a youtube vid above, but I could not deny you from the psychedelic experience that Modular Records provided us with. This is the second single from the Australian outfit know as Tame Impala (a/k/a the alter ego of Kevin Parker or the second coming of John Lennon), and boy is it addictive. It has been difficult to put down their album Lonerism lately, and this track is part in reason why. This album is definitely one I advise you to check out (and I know I probably say that on every post but we only really post stuff WE like). Lonerism is out now and can be purchased by clicking here.
Video: Nas - Cherry Wine f/ Amy Winehouse
One of my absolute favorite tracks off of the Life is Good album is brung to life and temporarily resurrects Amy Winehouse in a tasteful fashion. Lets be honest Salaam Remi laced the beat and Amy killed the vocals. I know I may be late on this one but I definitely wanted to share. If Nas' latest album isn't in your rotation, click here to add it to your collection. Also as a bonus we feature Queens Story (which is another standout track on LIG produced by Salaam) below. One of the most anticipated tracks from The Man With The Iron Fists soundtrack gets liberated, and boy does it not disappoint. Yeezy puts in some work on the bars, and RZA put his foot in this beat. I personally cannot wait to see this movie and hear the soundtrack in its entirety as well. Be prepared to play this jam more than once, as it is a rare form of Kanye (especially these days). Video: The xx - Chained
A crazy dope vid from one of the most dope yet saddest albums that dropped this year thus far. If you check out this clip and dig the sounds you hear I highly suggest you check out the rest of the album. I forewarn you to bring some tissues as it tells the story of a couple going through a breakup, and it is done brilliantly (as are the shots in this visual as well). Their latest LP Coexist is available now!
Audio: Toro Y Moi - So Many Details
As a little sneak peek of the sound for his upcoming album, we get audio from what is apparently a Black Friday Record Store Day release. From what I can see this joint won't be available on Anything In Return, so if you want this physically you know to get up early after you've stuffed yourself with lots of turkey. Any who this has to be one of the funkiest cuts I've heard this year besides the album Miguel just put out. This cut will have to hold us over until January so in the interim prepare to take one funky musical ride. Enjoy the stream below.

Track 4 from Shields gets a visual. It appears the crew gave creative freedom to the director and she decided to tell/show us the story of an ice skater. Very interesting storytelling here and it also gives us an excuse to listen to this awesome song again.
