said this in a comment but as a non ashki jew, the way y’all (gentiles) talk abt ashkenazi jews is really fucking weird. you’re not being a savior to non ashkenazi jews or to black and brown jews (some of whom are ashkenazi) by painting ashkenazi jews as this nefarious group of elites plotting against everyone. the antisemitism doesn’t cancel out just because you’re targeting the group you perceive to be the “white ones.”
there is a brand of antisemitism rising in the west that specifically targets ashkenazi jews. and they specify. they use the word "ashkenazi" or "white" because that is how they racialize us. ashkenazi jews are not only specifically targeted, but we are specifically at risk, because we live among these goyim in the west.
As you can see a lot of the ashkenazi specific antisemitism is rooted in trying to deny Ashkenazi indigineity to the levant, so that they can characterize Israel as Ashkenazi and this de-legitimizes ALL Jews.
They are taking terms that we use to describe our exile and our subcultures and using them against all of us.
I know that Ashkenoramitivty is a problem, and in Israel there is a history of Ashkenazis dominating society at the cost of others.
But under the current circumstances we need to SPECIFICALLY speak up in defence of Ashkenazi Jews and their indigineity because it is being targeted. And this targeting doesn't just harm Ashkenazi Jews, it harms all Jews.
