BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Askal is the third of six children. His parents were renowned veterinarians in their area, known for their inhuman kindness. His parents noticed how good he is with creating tech and gadgets; encouraging him with his talents. Sadly however, his parents tragically passed away when they were killed in a protest against Kingdom (despite the company's claim that the protesters attacked first and that their security fired in self-defense, Askal knew it was a lie. A cover-up.) Being the gifted one in the family, his siblings heavily relied on him which put constant pressure on poor Askal. They even gave away most of their life savings to him so that he can go to one of the prestigious robotics universities in the country.
As a student in the university, Askal decided to create an interactive robot that adapts to its environment that can assist humans with their work. He modeled it after a dog in memory of his parent's job and named it Bantay. After some tireless nights and failed attempts, the project was a success. Hearing about his accomplishment, he was approached by a Kingdom employee who offered him a job to work at the company. He declined as he was not interested with the offer (and probably because it's the same company that murdered his parents, so...). However, the employee insisted until he grabbed Askal's arm in frustration.
Unfortunately for the employee, Bantay was online and saw the person as a threat. So to protect his maker (and owner), Bantay lunged at the man knocking him to the floor and mangled his right hand until it nearly tore off. Askal shuts down Bantay and asks for help as the employee is bleeding on the floor. A few days later, he was expelled from the university and sent back home. Askal didn't want to go home and tell his siblings that he was expelled, so he ran away. Some few months later, Askal made a business out of making prosthetics for pets. He made a decent amount of money and sent most of it to his siblings.
JOINING THE VALORANT PROTOCOL
Brimstone recieved word that Kingdom facilties in the Philippines (specifically in the Metro Manila area) have been attacked and raided by an unknown person. He sent agents Chamber and Killjoy to discover the culprit behind the attacks and possibly recruit the individual. Just in time when they arrived, the two agents recieved word that a facility near their area have attacked by the same individual so the decided to follow suit and track them down.
They eventually cornered Askal in an alley and questioned his motives behind his attacks. Before they could further continue with the interrogation, Bantay appeared and before he could attack was stopped by Askal. They finally got to the part where they explained everything from Kingdom, the Protocol, Mirror Earth etc. and offered Askal to join. He was hesitant at first and countered that if he joins in return they should help him bring justice to the deaths caused by Kingdom. They agreed and Askal did as well with their proposal.
Abilities
C - Fetch
Askal throws the device on a wall. Each bounce and impact, the circular gadget releases red tripwire that if stepped on/etc., will trigger an alarm to alert allies of the enemy location for atleast 10 seconds.
Q -Smokescreen
Askal rolls the device unto the ground/floor. It can be controlled remotely. The device has a hidden camera to check the surrounding area. If an enemy is spotted, it will automatically release smoke lasting for about 15 seconds, temporarily blinding the opponents.
Signature - Sleepy Dart
Askal can use the dart as a means to stun enemies. Once the dart comes in contact with the enemy's flesh, it stuns them for about 5 seconds and reveals their location to allies.
Ultimate - Sic 'Em!
Askal summons Bantay to the battlefield and commands him to lock on on a specific enemy. Bantay will then charge at it's target and chase them down, only stopping if the deed is done or if destroyed. The attack is fatal, one-shotting the target instantly.
Miscellaneous
Askal calls the younger agents in protocol "kuya" or "ate," the older ones "tito" and "tita."
Once been in a relationship. Realized it was toxic so he left.
For shits and giggles, he quotes vines to confuse the heck out of the older agents.
Loves singing kareoke and music in general. He (along with the help of Killjoy and Raze) implemented a sound and speaker system in Bantay. So if he feels like playing music all he has to say is: "Bantay, please play ____."
He is fascinated with the tech the protocol has to offer. Sometimes sneakily takes a couple of tech away from the other tech users for "research purposes."
Askal met his Mirror counterpart and are in good terms with each other though they have no choice but to fight when the time comes.
Will go feral if you break or by any means lay a finger on his gadgets without his permission. Poor Cypher had to recover from a head injury as Askal threw a wrench and various objects at the Moroccan.
His favourite food is pork sinigang with lots of hot sauce.
Askal often gives nicknames to the other agents. As an example, he calls Reyna, "Aswang."
Upon encountering a stray animal, Askal will not hesitate to feed it. He is always seen by his fellow agents playing with packs of dogs, litters of cats alongside Bantay.
He has poor performance with guns and is always sent to the shooting range with Brimstone. He is mean with a crowbar though.
Askal is the agent who gets the most noise complaints due to his "Weekend Karaoke Nights."
Bantay gets in trouble with some of the agents in the protocol much to Askal's dismay.
When he first made a kill, Askal's sanity and innoccence slowly degrades.
