Welcome to the CrispyDemon! I’m Freddy, aka the Springwood Slasher! I ain’t to good at writing intros since my appearance usually speaks for itself, not too mention ya don’t really have to in the dream world, but since I can’t invade dreams the internet is the next best thing!

I made this blog to essentially be myself. I’m not really seen as my fictional self IRL, so this blog is a means to do that, not too mention discuss having a slasher villain as a fictotype. Due to that dark themes are a given, so keep that in mind. If this sounds interesting to ya feel free to stick around!

My All Time Favorite Songs

I haven’t discussed anything goth related on my blog, mainly because I’m incredibly burnt out on discourse, I also don’t have much to say other then what’s already been rehashed a million times. However it’s a deep passion of mine, so I wanted to do something. Anyone who knows me long me enough will inevitably have to be subjected to my music taste; I decided this blog shouldn’t be an exception.

Most of my taste revolves around the second and third wave of goth, which was about 1985-1999. When the Sisters of Mercy came onto the scene, it led to numerous copycat bands, so a more hard rock direction was prevalent in this era. I’ll admit I’m a sucker for driving bass and reverberated guitar riff, plus darkly melodramatic atmosphere.

Curious, how did yall find out about the existance of your kin/theriotype(s)? It only just occurred to me that my experience is potentially kind of odd. The first time i saw one was as a taxidermy at a school (the school had a wall of taxidermied birds, it was kind of the thing they were known for). Saw one and they immediately became my favorite bird, and i later went on to learn that the reason why I love them so much is because i am one. Especially want to hear from those who are lesser known animals and such.

Mine is kind of interesting because I’ve always known that I’ve existed, but it didn’t click until I started watching the series. I watched the original Nightmare on Elm Street, liked it enough and decided to watch the rest of the franchise. When I watched a Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy’s Revenge that’s when I began to have alterfictional experiences (shifts, dreams,etc), I’m not sure why that film in particular and not the original was what triggered my awakening, but here I am now.

I think making character playlists is good for you and connected to analysis skills in a very fun way and low investment way. I know its seen as quite trivial but to me it operates the same way looking at a lot of art builds ur skills passively. Yummy enrichment activity

if you're an alterhuman, therian/otherkin or fictionfolk and haven't disillusioned yourself with the concept of delusions and fantastical thinking as defined by psychiatry, to the point of refusing to call any belief "delusional" at face value, then I am here to remind you that there is nothing, absolutely nothing standing between a person diagnosed with delusions of grandeur for believing they are a wizard, and you, who sincerely believes that you are an animal or fictional character on a spiritual level. unless you are 'kin but "don't actually believe it", in which case you are not. you need to dismantle the idea of a psychotic "other", who's beliefs and experiences should not be believed/respected once they pass a certain threshold of crazy, immediately. YOU are that other to orthohumans who believe in it

The Pattern of Woods in my Dreams

Natalie's dream is something that I dreamt months ago, and hadn't thought to document as extensively at the time. I don't remember how it started, but I do remember how I stayed in that room the entire dream.

I remember how scared she was to move, how even her breath sounded too loud to her ears as she stood there, taking in the sight of her window. Through coquette lacey curtains, the darkness of night blotted out all else aside from the horrific sight from that dream.

I'm not even sure how to describe exactly what it was, but it was very pale, and it had its face pushed up against the window with its mouth like a suction, and in and out drooling from its mouth was dark red– what I can only imagine was gore, just in and out against the glass and dribbling down it's boney chin. The visuals were haunting, I'm not sure if it was eating something or if it was injured.

 I get the impression it was eating it though, because it wasn't making noises of distress, in fact it was eerily silent aside from the winds outside. I tried to scream but Natalie's voice just came out in the rattling weak noise. It was like trying to scream through a mouthful of cotton. 

Now while what I remember of the dream is meager, it is important because this dream repeated once, twice, three times with different people over the course of the months I was gone. And where creature was not there, I had dreams that took place in woods that seemed so eerily familiar. 

A dream about a famine so dire that it caused families to give up their young to the thing that lives in the woods. I remember running along the treeline with my sisters. I remember telling our youngest that we were playing hide and seek, only to leave her there, calling for us among the same trees where criminals were hung and so many lost souls were laid to rest. 

A dream about ashen figures moving in sync, guiding each other through those woods like something out of a claymation. Like they themselves were not of this earth.

There were folktales and stories surrounding those woods. Something evil lives in the heart of it, possibly from all the souls lost in there both evil and innocent. And if I can get to the bottom of why– why is this a common location in my dreams, maybe I will get closer to an answer I'm searching for. So I humbly request, if these woods sound familiar to you for any reason at all, please contact me.
