I love seeing such a genuine bittersweet ending. I loooove when an ending is neither happy or sad. Jax’s ending makes perfect sense and I think I would’ve been dissatisfied if it went any other way. I love that Caine returned and learned (because he is an AI who is supposed to be constantly learning.) I love that he wasn’t just welcomed back. I loved seeing Jax lying alllll the way to the end only to learn that there is a possibility for happiness. I love that everyone had their own intensely intimate insecurity that was explored upon only to learn that it wouldn’t hold them back forever.

For a second I really hated Langdon this season but his little speech to Robby was sooo good. I loved him not acting like he’s waiting for his daddy to recognize that he’s been good. I loved that he was able to figure something out about himself and his mentor that will ultimately make him a better doctor. Being in recovery isn’t just puttering around for forgiveness, but also reevaluating your relationships and I loved the way they handle it.
