I am SO ABNORMAL about this webnovel i just read. the problem is that its a not great translation of a korean novel. on novelpia, where you gotta pay to read it. BUT ITS. oh my god. i hate that i love it. There is ZERO english discussion of it ANYWHERE on the internet. I cant stand it. This is genuinely the first time since 2016 that ive considered actually writing something on my ao3 account.
Its a story about a guy trapped in a time loop, constantly killed over and over again by the villainess. Until one day, the powers above decide he's suffered enough, and lets him time loop back to a time when he can actually change things properly. But he only gets One chance.
He's a conventional, medical doctor that was thrown into a fantasy world where medicine is completely unknown and healing magic is well spread but not well understood. People think its a cardinal sin to use a scalpel on a body.
He goes back in time, meets the villainess 10 years prior, and he takes a knife to kill her before she can do anything bad. She sees through it, he makes an excuse, and eventually becomes the only doctor in the world who can treat her underlying illness that actually caused her to become the villainess in the first place.
The doctor, bound to the Hippocratic Oath and his tight moral values, chooses to relentlessly search for a cure to the villainess. And thats where the romance begins!!!!! I love it so much. Please read it. I need someone to talk to about it.
