Sunset watching at Tamsui, Taipei, Taiwan
Review on Unite 4G WiFi Router (Taiwan)
Having an internet connection while traveling is a lifesaver especially when you’re backpacking to a different country wherein most locals do not understand English is quite a challenge. So for our 5-day trip around Taipei City, Taiwan, my friends and I got a 4G WiFi router via Klook which costs us around 736.00 in Philippine Peso.
I got the unit from Booth 3 at Taipei Taoyuan Airport Terminal 2 . The booth is located on the second floor and is situated on the right side upon exiting from the arrival hall. The unit comes in a red bag and a charging unit (similar to an android charging cable). Upon claiming the router, prepare an ID and a credit card which is for security purpose and in situations wherein you actually damage the WiFi router. Internet speed was amazing! We’ve used it inside the Taipei MRT, during the gondola ride from Taipei Zoo South Station to Maokong Station, and while trekking from Maokong Station towards Yao Yue Teahouse. Basically, you could use the WiFi router anywhere! Now, this wouldn’t be a review if it doesn’t have any cons regarding the router service. During our 5th day when we were en route to the airport (Saturday), the connection was nil which prevented us from using Google Maps. Thereby, resulting in our late arrival at the airport. The device indicated that we have managed to used about 10GB of data so maybe its not unlimited after all. After checking-in, I had to walk back to Terminal 2 (arrival hall) because the departure hall is situated in Terminal 1, which took about 10 minutes (It depends on how far you have to walk though). The connecting hall is located at the last part of counter 12 (AirAsia check-in counters), near the immigration booth. Pros:
no hassle as long as you managed to book the device in advance
fast internet connection
it lasts for 8 hours straight
Cons:
inconvenience of walking back to Terminal 2 (arrival hall) just to return the device
possibility of having a data cap
Note: Using the device is counted on per day and not on a per hour basic. For example, if you’re staying from May 1 to May 5 in Taiwan, you have to booked it for 5 days even if you arrived in Taipei on May 1 at 1200H and leave the country on May 5 at 0700H.

You may want them now but your future does not need them. Remember that.

I was the girl with an active social life, not just in social media platforms but also in the real world.
I have great and good friends. I hang out with people who I want to spend time with. My family is also awesome and I see them every day.
Then you’ll be wondering why I’m writing this post. Don’t get me wrong, I’m grateful for everything that God has given me. But lately, it feels like something is amiss.
After countless of eating out, drinking (coffee and milk tea included), and travels with these people, I realized that it's not the number of times you spend with them that strengthens your bond. What does is when you learn to open up to these people and no, I am not talking about those intoxicated times when you put your heart in the open because you’re vulnerable. I’m referring to those precious moments you decide to trust someone to keep a secret in your behalf, to share your deepest thoughts and your fears, someone who truly listens and who reads between the lines.
To find out that I had none of those moments with my family and friends felt like I was doused with a bucket of ice-cold water. This made me think of the past when I was the innocent girl who first got her heart broken. That experience molded my current personality. Famous quotes say never let your past affect or control your future but one can’t really help it when it makes you feel scared and abhor the feeling of being vulnerable to another human being.
Now, I ask you...
“How can you unlearn the things you’ve realized when you got hurt?”
“What do you do when you’re scared of trusting other people with your private thoughts?”
Not because you’re afraid of them judging you. But because you’re afraid they can’t simply understand and you can’t blame them.
Let me know your thoughts!
