Yesterday i lost my glasses. And decided to document my frustration until……… I really wish this was planned, but i gotta admit, I took a big L.
“[defeated tone] So… I have…. lost my glasses. And I’m afraid to leave my bed because I can’t see… and I fear I might step on my glasses. So I’m sitting here with my bee pillow pet… and I don’t know what to do.
I need to get up. I wanna get food. I gotta exfoliate and moisturize, cause my skin looking atrocious right now.

Spencer had a wellness check at the vet yesterday and, in spite of his lack of tail, was officially declared a Healthy Boy. The vet was impressed that he can fly normally with no tail and declared him “strong and muscular”! (Seen here receiving comforting handhugs in his travel cage after his exam while we waited for the tech to come back so I could pay)

Some people wanted to know more about how Spencer lost his tail T_T Basically, at breakfast time, he was on the floor, where he’s NOT SUPPOSED TO BE, without my knowledge. I noticed he wasn’t in my view, so I went to stand up to go find him to make sure he wasn’t getting into trouble–unbeknownst to me, he was under my chair! I don’t know if I actually stepped on his tail or if just me suddenly getting up and putting my foot right next to him startled him, but he flew out from under the chair and left his tail behind T_T Dropping their tails is a defense mechanism that some bird species have (some parrots, chickens, and apparently some birds of prey do it too!)–essentially, the ability to shed all their tail feathers at once allows them to escape if a predator grabs them by the tail.
The good news is that Spencer is otherwise unhurt, and his tail will grow back. This could have been much worse (which is the whole reason I try to keep him from going on the floor!). I’m hoping he’s learned his lesson about sneaking down to the floor! Despite his new stubby appearance, he’s still a happy chatty boy, so he wasn’t too traumatized!

My lil one did the same thing. His tail feathers came back with in three months! He is fine thank god. And I was crying like a baby when it happened 😭😭😭😭😂

Currently struggling with funds due to covid once again. It’s written in the gofundme desc as well, but i owe 1300 for rent over the past couple months. I lost my original job due to covid related issues, and my current job has my hours incredibly cut also due to covid, and restraints on social distancing. (Not to mention I make like 5 bucks an hour + tips)
