I did not know they were stackable ?????????
it is absolutely essential to have friends you can have extremely insane pervert conversations with. this is kind of what makes life worth living
have any of you tried teaching the mouse how to make cookies
out trans people like to try to convince closeted/repressed trans people who are in a position to transition, to transition as soon as possible, by saying "i badly regret not starting earlier". i don't think it's a very effective argument on its own. most closeted/repressed trans people have heard the same thing numerous times, they're deathly aware of it, they're already wracked with the regret of not transitioning today, every single day. simply telling them that the regret never leaves you doesn't have any convincing power. it might only make them feel even more hopeless or guilty. to draw from my honest personal experience, i would instead tell them:
"eventually—maybe slowly, and not always all the time, but surely—you'll notice that the regret of not starting earlier is drowned out by the joy and contentness of finally feeling truer to yourself. you won't have to live stuck permanently ruminating on past what-could-have-beens anymore, you'll be able to live in the present as yourself."

I guess this is a mark of success, right?
a good job from a girl with big prouds of you
One of the most frightening things I've ever heard is when somebody pointed out that the existence of flinching away when you touch something hot implies that at some point there was an evolutionary reason to be afraid of scary fire monsters that attacked people 😨
i can’t stop thinking about this soulless husk i saw at a thrift market today. like okay um Hi

because i'm obnoxious i wanted to run some additional numbers on this to see just how much of an impact sans specifically had on this. the total amount of m/m in the undertale tag is 20,917 fics, with the amount of f/f sitting at the bottom with only 5,926 fics. if i sort the tag by fics tagged m/m, sans/sans comprises 43% of the fics, sans/papyrus comprises 14%, and sans/reader comprises 9%. those are the three most written-for ships in that tag. needless to say, that's already pretty bleak. but it gets bleaker.
if i sort the tag instead by f/f, what are the three most written-for ships? alphys/undyne, predictably, is at the top, comprising 51% of the tag. the second is, inexplicably, sans/reader, which weighs in at 23%. and last is toriel/asgore, making up 11% of the tag. (in case you're wondering, sans/sans makes up 7%.)
so basically,
It's so fucking baffling to me that hospitals went back to not masking. Like good news, we have lots of empirical evidence that masking prevents infections! Now to go back to walking around this absolute petri dish of a building filled with extremely vulnerable people unmasked
sometimes trying to be more social and talk to people u know are already in an established friend group feels like
(via @usamirenko)
steam repeatedly notifying you that a friend is booting up a game thats clearly not cooperating feels like ur sitting inside and someone outside keeps trying to rev up a lawnmower
has anyone ever actually seen a shareholder or are we just supposed to believe they actually exist
I did once when I was working in a coffee shop. He was on a business call loudly talking about some tech speculation. When I asked him how it went a few days later, he panicked and asked how I knew such sensitive information. From this I gather they are of weak constitution, and startle easily
i really wish it was viable to make everyone else do ears training instead of me having to do voice training
