if she waited long enough--perhaps her ticket out of here would show up any moment. that's what she'd been told, anyway. a professional to keep her safe. but would they have lied to them? to keep them from declining? eris's face grew hot at the thought, beginning to worry. no one needed to know that she'd come all this way to survey what she needed to survey.

the deal that was on the table--negotiations with another thriving empire, was off. eris wanted no part when she was queen. there was a lack of soul she couldn't quite stomach. and spying would cause in uproar.

sitting patiently on a stool, she exhaled heavily, the door suddenly sliding open. her head whipped around quickly, hands in her lap unclasping at the sight. a woman to smuggle her? her eyes lit up, the princess immediately standing. giving her own no way within her thoughts.

" please-- " the princess started, taking a few steps closer. " I promise you, I ensure you, I personally will make this worthwhile. " eris insisted, blinking rapidly while her hands motioned to keep her calm. because that's what this was about, right? " anything you want. " there was a softness to her, the pleading look in her eye. eris wasn't really used to being at the mercy of someone. usually she could always figure something out. but in this scenario? she was useless to herself. // @thefallenorder

Something about the tone, the desperation in her voice, gave Kyra pause. Has she truly become this? A monster who would turn away a defenceless woman when there was something she could do to help? To leave her to the wolves while she made off with what meagre money she could get for a tip and wash her hands of it. A voice whispered in the back of her mind, one that had been quiet for so long and regained some spark in the presence of somebody this important. This is your chance. Credits made the world go round. This princess's safe delivery might give her everything she'd need to leave the life she'd grown so used to and start fresh somewhere else. Her BD-1 unit trilled over the comms, indicating that she only had minutes left to make her decision. She smirked to herself, knowing she'd now have some to spare, "You better be able to keep up with me, princess." She pulls off her own cloak, approaching her to wrap it around and attempt to disguise her as best she could. Kyra looked down. She was a few inches taller even without the boots, but they were similar sizes. "If anyone recognises you, we run, head to the safest area where you can change into these, and we keep going. I have a ship where my droid will meet us, and we will go from there." She turns but pauses a moment as she feels the weight of her blaster at her side, "Do you have a weapon?"

Kyra huffed in annoyance at the body at her feet. "If only they'd get the hint, huh Jae?" The BD unit trilled next to her as it hopped up onto her bag. "Might as well see if they've got anything useful." She began rifling in the pockets of the bounty hunter and was just about to give up before she heard a foot scuff on the ground behind her. Kriff.

Kyra had been given a smuggling mission. It was supposed to be simple enough, get the client out and then drop them to whatever safe base they had. She's assumed that whoever it was must be a politician or some rich folk willing to pay her double if she was smart about negotiations. However what she hadn't expected when she'd entered into what she now knew to be a safe house was the princess of Inuja. Oh kriff. "No way."

Everything that Merrin had come to know of the Jedi was in the THROES of grief over her sisters. She had mistrusted Cal – thought him to be of the same breed as Malicos, but he had proved her wrong. She was FINALLY able to let go her desire for revenge; only in meeting him had she found the courage. She owed him a great debt, though she could argue that intervening on Dathomir, and then once more on NUR, was a sufficient payment.

“So what now, Cal Kestis? Do you think this Empire you speak of won’t be able to locate more of these – HOLOCRONS?”

Cal felt BD-1 nudge him as Merrin addressed him and he turned to pay attention to her. He’d been lost in his thoughts since Ilum as he tried to think of how he could’ve saved Trilla but just like Cere he had to accept the fact that there was nothing he could’ve done. “From what I know holocrons are used to store valuable information. They can be used by both Jedi and Sith but I’m not sure if anymore exist with knowledge about any force sensitive children.” Cal ran a hand through his hair before smiling at her, “I suppose that’s what we do next. Keep watching them.”
