all this week, webby had been passing by this boutique in particular, again and again, with its big bay windows and pretty colors, and every time, she wanted so badly to go in. it wasn’t until today that she finally took a breath in and walked through the doors, putting her nerves at ease and telling herself that even if she didn’t exactly dress the part, she should still be welcome. it was immediate, the feeling that she belonged. not just because of the warm lighting or the big open floor, but because of the woman who came to her to help out. “ hi there ! ” she returned, a smile immediately breaking onto her young features. she all ready loved it here. “ i’ve been passing by this place for a couple days now, and i thought i’d stop in. ” things sort of started to tumble out of her mouth from there. “ i need a little bit of help, or, well, a lot, actually. i’m kind of in need of a whole new wardrobe. a major overhaul. and i don’t know, i kept coming back to this place in particular, but i didn’t really have the nerves to come through the door until today, and… ” realizing the was beginning to go in circles, she stopped herself short, took a breath in, then let it out. “ any chance i might be able to get some help ? ” she didn’t quite know who she was talking to, but she hoped they would at least be able to point her in the right direction.

That was... a lot of question, Daisy waiting it out for a moment she could enter the conversation. There was always a nagging in her brain when someone told her they wanted an overhaul, or to just start over, or any other variation of potential identity crisis that passed into her shop. Don’t get her wrong, she would undoubtedly help and take their money - she was kind-hearted but she was also a businesswoman. Tender thoughts did not pay the bills.
There were legitimate reasons, plenty of them, she didn’t just write them off, but the woman inside of her that wanted no young lady to doubt herself had to be certain, and as the girl turned the conversation Daisy’s way, she smiled warmly and stood up. “Of course I can help. Makeovers are maybe my passion... depends on the day really.” She grabbed up a measuring tape and a clipboard as she laughed, eyes darting momentarily away before she asked, “But I have to know more - like why do you need an overhaul in the first place?”
“In my experience, good style requires honesty. Honesty with yourself, with the world... and especially, with your designer.” She beamed wide. “I’ll start. I’m Daisy, and you are?”
