(n.) An AU where the canon’s characters are placed in Hogwarts from the Harry Potter series.

In this Hunger Games Hogwarts AU I just read, Katniss and Peeta teamed up to battle Voldemort.

Hiatus

(n.) The time when a show is on break and not airng.

BBC’s Sherlock is particularly famous for it’s wicked long breaks. Currently fans are in the middle of a 3 year hiatus between seasons 3 and 4.

High School AU

(n.) An AU where all the characters are in high school. They usually include common teenage issues and quite a bit of drama.

I just read a TMI high school AU. Man, the drama was all over the place!

(n.) The time when Supernatural is on hiatus.

The Supernatural fandom is so loud that all of Tumblr knows when hellaitus is starting.

Headcanon

(n.) an event or idea that fits in very well with the canon, but is not.

Batfamilyheadcanons have so many headcanons; it’s one of my favorite blogs.

H/C

(adj.)  Stands for Hurt/Comfort and describes a story where one character is hurt and gets comforted by the other.

Alone on the Water is one of the most well known H/C fics.

Harry Potter

(n.) A very famous book series written by J.K. Rowling and about a wizarding school.

If you haven’t read Harry Potter yet, go do it right now.

(n.) A famous YouTube musician and 1/2 of Vlogbrothers with his brother John Green. He also organizes and runs VidCon.

When Hank Green played “Accio Deathly Hallows” at the concert the crowd went wild!

GISHWHES

(n.) The Greatest International Scavenger Hunt the World Has Ever Seen. An annual scavenger hunt run by Misha Collins that requires groups of people perform random and outrageous acts.

During GISHWHES Nasa had to release a statement asking people to stop contacting them, because one of the tasks involved having an astronaut in the international space station hold up a sign with a team’s name on it.

Genderbent

(adj.) Used to describe a character that has their gender flipped. It is either a single character or a full cast. This is used to all parts of fan culture.

Just saw a genderbent Dean Winchester cosplayer; she was wicked hot!

Gen

(n.) A fic that is not an explicit or smutty. It highlights dynamics and day-in-the-life stories.

Most domestic!Avengers fics end up being gen fics.

(n.) A popular TV show based off of books by George R. Martain. They feature a lot of sex and death and are set in the Dark Ages.

The Red Wedding has to be one of the most anticipated events on Game of Thrones.

(n.) Cute romancy stuff between a couple. It does not include sex.

I came across birdflash fluff and OMG it was so adorable!
