Sometimes you just decide to get a masters degree to buy some time before you have to get a real job and that’s valid

‘You Fight Like A Girl’. Or, The Brave and the Bold
How to Finish
I drew this poster for Jon Acuff and his FINISH book tour. Big thanks to Jon for this collaboration, his book has some great ideas about how to complete creative and life goals.
Love this, but reblogging it specifically for “Get rid of secret rules.” That’s one of the most amazing illustrations—and points—I’ve ever seen.
so important especially for perfectionists who procrastinate and never finish, or even start because they set such high standards for themselves.
I found this youtube comment and honestly,,,, true
My favourite genre of movie is 'vapid girly teen flicks from the 90's and early 00's that actually have important feminist and socially conscious messages'.
Some examples;
Don't be afraid to break the pointless and sexist rules society has imposed upon you, especially if they stand between you and your dreams.
Learn to recognise your self worth beyond the trappings of success.
Recognising and working to correct your white privilege, is not only the right thing to do morally, but will also lead to a more diverse and exciting playing field.
You absolutely do not have to sacrifice your femininity or sense of self in order to make your way in a traditionally masculine field.
Toxic femininity is absolutely a thing, and it's what tricks girls into oppressing themselves and each other.
Are you actually 'not like other girls' or are you just playing into the patriarchy by using your prejudices as an excuse to stop you forming real and valuable attachments to everyone in your life?
Julie: What do we say when we get sad?
Alex: My anxiety is chronic but this ass is iconic.
Julie: No.
I was thinking about how Julie must come home every day after school and ask the guys “What did you do today?” and Luke is probably like *incoherent rambling* and then I remembered that one bit from Jean-Ralphio on Parks & Rec and had to make this
It’s also hilariously close to a 15 second summary of the show 😂
12 Adult Actors Who Played Teens Vs. What Teens Really Look Like
Also it has a real impact on our perception of age gap relationships. Imagine how much creepier it would be if all the teenage girls on television in relationships with much older men actually looked like teenage girls?
It would be really great to fix this. One of the issues is that if you hire real teenagers you have to provide them with an education.
The U.S. TV show production cycle is so intense that it’s not possible to do that.
So they can’t hire teenagers.
Which is a symptom of the much deeper problem that U.S. TV production companies grossly overwork everyone.
People whine about the short seasons of Doctor Who, but they’re short because the UK has labor laws and they have to pay large overtime bonuses, so they actually work everyone a reasonable number of hours.
The 22-24 season episodes we enjoy come at a heavy price. With the amount and variety of TV being produced, it’s time to push for shorter seasons of higher quality episodes and stop working cast and crew into early graves.
(Why yes, I did take a post whining about how teenagers on TV don’t look like teenagers and turn it into labor rights, but these things are all connected).
catherine tate and david tennant performing genders (plural) in much ado about nothing (2011)
there are some scenes in Doctor Who that just end up being so iconic and I think this is one
It’s been years but I never fail to laugh at this downright dumb ass scene
Started watching The Good Place the other day.
op how does it feel being the funniest person on this site
It’s been literal years and I’m still not over Snape’s cloak-shrouded ass for asking an eleven year old muggle-raised kid the difference between monkshood and wolfsbane in front of the everyone on the first day. You want to know the difference? There is no fucking difference. They’re colloquial terms for the same fucking plant. He just wanted the intellectual upper hand over a goddamn little kid. “Haha, trick question”, so clever. you oily bag of tits

it’s not ‘talking to myself’ it’s called a soliloquy you fuck
Kenny Ortega: oh, you’ve grown out of the comfort characters i gave you in 2006? And the ones I gave you in 2015? You’re gay now? You have anxiety now? You miss the og Disney music vibes?
Kenny Ortega, dramatically pulling a curtain off a screen: here, try this instead, I call it Julie and the phantoms
