Custom Splatoon Kits for Weapons I Enjoy Playing!

I really really like playing Bamboozler but my main issue with it is that most of it's kits tend to be very self oriented and play off of itself and not really what your team is up to. I prefer playing it more support oriented and combo-ing off my teammate's damage or setting them up for a kill so that's why I've chosen to give it Tacticooler, ideally I would give it Autobomb as its bomb to apply one-shot pressure at a distance, but since that's already taken by it's vanilla kit I've given it Torpedo instead which serves a similar purpose but has an easier counterplay by shooting it down.

Secondly is the Dapple Dualies which already has three really strong kits in S3 so I thought it would be cool to give it Zipcaster. You can't really play around interesting angles like the other Zipcaster weapons can but I like the ability to be able to place pressure on weapons that would otherwise be very safe from it due to its limited range (like Splatlings and Chargers for example.) Fizzy bomb could also help you get in for a quick kill if you use it like a Curling bomb or if you choose to charge it up and rush in with it.

As for Dynamo it's always incredibly important to have a way to instantly paint under you if you're caught in your opponents ink, hence why I gave it Curling bomb. I also think Inkjet could help poking long range and could potentially combo off the vertical flick's damage as well, though I'm not really sure if there's a better fit than Killer Wail 5.1 on it's Starz kit (which is admittedly kinda dogshit since it has Point Sensor.)

Heavy edit kinda already has my ideal kit with Curling and Tacticooler but if I had to give it a third kit I would Splash Wall to better help it take and hold advantageous positions, which it desperately needs with its charge time. To help it from getting rushed down is Kraken Royale, which here is trying to be way more passive and defensive since you don't have a way to protect yourself afterward.

Painbrush has never had a good kit so I thought it only fair to give it burst bomb to help deal damage during its windup time as well as be able to be more threatning. I think Ink-Vac has some potential with it, brushes like pushing ahead of their teammates but I think it's more interesting to be rewarded for staying back and helping to protect your teammates, while still being mildly useful to protect itself.

Range Blaster also already has had it's perfect kit with Custom Range Blaster, so I gave it basically a second option that fulfills the same purpose as CRB but with Trizooka for maps that Kraken isn't especially good at. It also has curing bomb to help run from a dangerous situation if need be.

Splat Brella already has a decently good kit with Sorella Brella so I made sure this kit serves a more defensive playstyle rather than a aggresive one. To aid in this I've given it ink mine to combo off of its maximum damage for a one shot and Booyah Bomb to help poke at a distance and draw attention to yourself. Not only that but Brella would actually be pretty good at defending itself after throwing a Booyah Bomb in a way not many other weapons can.

The Splatana Wiper has THREE ENTIRE GOOD AGGRESIVE KITS so I decided it's greedy ass should get a new defensive playstyle with Ink Mine and Splattercolor Screen. Sharking in Splattercolor Screen could potentially lead this kit to playing more aggressive but I really like the idea of a supportive Splatana and this was the best I could come up with while not making it absolute dogshit.

Tri Slosher already has a pretty good kit with the ASH-N Tri Slosher so I decided to build a kit around sharking and picking off people by applying pressure with the Ink Storm and better keeping track of them with the Point Sensor. Plus it gives your opponents a higher chance to actually get hit by your special unlike Splattercolor Screen.

Finally, Tri Stringer always gets the short end of the stick so I gave it a kit to best help with its main weaknesses. Autobomb to locate people and deal passive damage and Ink Storm to secure a kill if you miss one of your three bullets.

lukewarm take: I think the Sonic movies have all the potential to be really good but something is holding them back. It’s the way the human cast is written. With the exception of Robotnik obviously, they seem like very stereotypical “action movie blockbuster” supporting characters. Unfortunately it makes them less interesting when compared to the OG Sonic cast. If they had been written differently, with more of a focus on them as protagonists than set pieces, they would have meshed better. Instead the human supporting cast and most of the Earth-centric things come off as distractions from the main event. We are here to see Sonic in various wacky video game action scenarios, but so many of the Earth characters are detracting from that by being too focused on “real” matters as if they are trying to be relatable to the average viewer instead of feeding into the escapist fantasy of Sonic games, where you can be a hero. This is not the end of the world. There’s technically still time to spice it up before the film series wraps up. but my hopes are medium. I will be happy to see Amy and Metal Sonic. Also these are my opinions and they may change who knows 🫤

Agent stone is the other exception because he’s a gay little twink who’s down bad for robotnik with an actual compelling character arc and a prominent role in the 3rd film that aids in Shadow and Eggman’s arc. Can’t wait for #stobotnik makeout sesh in Sonic 4

Hey, I’m just reaching out to people on Tumblr. You’ve probably heard of Jesus and God, but have you ever reached out to Jesus for problems in your life? Big or small. Not to make you uncomfortable, but did you know sin (in your life and other people’s lives) can really hurt you, it can make it feel like there is a void that is never satisfied. That void could be called a “God sized hole.” Sin sucks and not just in a cookie cutter way, but in a way that it feels like there is a decay within a person. That can be a lot to take in, but I hope it is good food for thought. I hope you’re having an awesome day!! 💕

A common criticism of the Kingdom Hearts games is that the Disney worlds have no bearing on the overall plot, being nothing more than fillers.

I'm here to argue the contrary, that not only they are incredibly thematically relevant to the franchise, but that they represent its entire ethos.

Kingdom Hearts is a game series all about how even in a dark universe full of tragedy and sorrow, there are still moments of whimsy and playfulness, and not only these moments need to be protected but they are what make dealing with the horrors of life more bearable.

In almost every game there's an apocalyptic threat that will destroy everything and will drag everyone to the darkness, and the protagonists need to travel to the Disney worlds in order to protect them.

And the people from these Disney worlds are hopelessly clueless about it, having no idea that at any time their worlds and their entire livelihoods can be completely destroyed. But they are innocent, sincere, and playful, and by protecting them they become your friends.

You get to spend time with them, to have fun with them, even with overall world falling to pieces, even with all the tragedy and pain still going on elsewhere.

And when the climax comes, when it's time to face the bad guys, it's the moments you spend with them, it's what you learned about friendship with them, that makes you able to face Xehanort and his many incarnations. It's by spending time in the light that you find forces to face darkness.

You have multiple cases of this through the franchise.

In the first game, it's Sora being distressed that Riku aligned himself with the Heartless and Kairi apparently lost her heart, but the idea of telling her that he flew with Peter Pan is what brings him joy.

In Birth by Sleep it's Terra that has been struggling with controlling his darkness during the whole game, facing Disney villains in almost every other world, but then he has to protect Cinderella on her way to the ball and it's her faith in her dreams that inspires him to continue fighting.

And you have the most obvious examples, the Winnie the Pooh worlds where Sora assumes the role of Christopher Robin. There are no heartless in this world. No violence. Just you getting to spend time and protect the literal embodiments of childhood innocence.

That's the core of the whole franchise, it's through these silly childish minigames, to spend time and have fun with these silly cartoon and fairy tale characters, that you gather strength to face the darkness

I feel like Square Enix gets Disney better than Disney themselves. They get the appeal of Disney movies, those nostalgic stories that stay with you forever, even when things are dark. I do risk saying that in several instances Kingdom Hearts has the DEFINITIVE versions of these characters and stories.

When Disney writes crossovers between their properties they tend to get hyper saccharine, with a heavy focus on the magic and the wonder. But Square makes the Disney characters matter thematically in the games. It's only when the sweet and the whimsical is juxtaposed with the dark and the tragic that we are able to appreciate it better.

They don't take the "Disney Magic" for granted. They use it to tell a very convoluted but deeply moving story about how making friends and hanging out with your friends is what truly matters.

In the Kingdom Hearts games Disney are not the storytellers, they are the medium used to tell this story of pain and loss, but of discovery and wonder.
