Thought for the day:
The journey was never about getting there. It's about THE getting there.
On the other side of the camera. This is just a test shot from my last modeling gig done by AG Photography Studios. Literally, this was just a test shot to check the lighting and settings and I’m so going to use it for my updated head shot.

So a friend really liked one of my pictures and said she had the perfect frame for it. So I told her I'd print out a copy for her as a late birthday gift after cropping to fit the frame and diddling with some edits also and see which she liked better. Which one would you pick? Let's see how many people went with her choice =D

Thought for the day:
When you and your long time friend have a calm discussion about a disagreement on the use of a particular word and you come to an agreement and the topic is calmly brought to a close . . . and then an hour later person C, who does not know you, comes in and condescends to you to try to reignite a fire from embers that barely sparked to begin with--my knee jerk reaction is to look at person C and say, “Why don't I hold this dead horse in place so you can get a better grip on that absurdly large bludgeon.”
#sorrynotsorry
Smh. People like that love to fuel hate when there was no hate to begin with. Have fun aloft your high horse, which I did mention was dead right?
The most insidious hate is the one that hides behind a face that claims to abhor hate yet feeds it with every conniving word they utter.
Thought for the Day:
Man's value is judged not by his wallet, but his heart.
Thoughts that go through my head that really make me enjoy being me.
Sitting on the toilet after not being able to go in I don't know how long imagining discussing this with the doctor:
"When's the last time you went?"
"Not everyone pays attention to shit like that."
*immediately commended self for coming up with one of the most literal statements ever.
If I could build a doorway to my mind I'd charge for entry. Best vacation ever.
This.
Thought for the Day:
I care far more about what money costs than what costs money.
Thought for the Day:
I've come to the conclusion life is just a competitive sport you play with yourself.
Yeah. That about sums up my entire existence.
Unfinished piece: The Heart Tree Collaborative piece with myself and Nate Perino. He started the right side and i the left and then we took turns building on each other's sections as well as our own.
Thought for the Day:
Everyone wants a piece of the novelty until they fully realize it's actually a series of intricately in-depth, seemingly endless novels. Only true lovers of the mind will keep on turning the page. The rest get swept away by the waves. Some oceans are just too deep. To the deep sea divers, my soul will always be with you no matter where we are. We know how to find the real treasure, not at the surface. but in the deepest of submerged caves. We swim in a school together in a sea of decreasing knowledge.
Because you should never forget your magick.
A spell for the constantly (willfully) abused empath:
From this moment forward,
I will never bend backwards
for one who will not bend forward
to catch me.
We dance the dance together,
or not at all.
As I will it,
So mote it be.
Thought for the Day:
I've been told I share too much.To this I have honestly stated: most people would be deeply shocked if they realized how much I actually DON'T say.
Surprise!
I only share about 5% of what goes through my head any given day and what I find pertinent to that day between my experiences and those around me. Yes, even on my "heavy flow" days. Like today. It's all just surface me, including what most people consider intensely deep. Just the tip of the iceberg of what is known as The Carlos Brum.
The truth is, my depths are so deep, I haven't even gotten to the bottom of me yet.
When I go quiet for days or months or years, it's because I dove deeper than before and when I still didn't touch bottom I got lost in the vortex of my neverending mind and couldn't find my way back.
Something to consider.
