Why are people suggesting North and South after watching The Other Bennet Sister??? One is a cute lil romance and the other is just the romanticization of capitalism. And don’t get me wrong i really liked North and South but instead of a show w a Mary-sue fmc,,, suggest like,,, Tennent of Wildfell Hall or Far from the Maddening Crowd.

It’s like if someone asked me for a fantasy show recommendation after watching Stranger Things and I told them to watch the Umbrella Academy… yes both are fantasy and take place in the real world but that’s their only similarity 😭

I think this is the first time I’ll ever say this but WOW is The Other Bennet Sister show SO MUCH BETTER than the book. From a pacing and characterization perspective and omg.

I’m reading a dark romance book for the first time (it’s Sea of Ruin if that means anything to you), and I both get and don’t get the genre.

Not to yuck anyone’s yum but GOD both of the MMCs are fucking awful Jesus Christ. They need to CALM DOWN and stop completely ruining this poor girls life and giving her more trauma than when her parents died.

And like,,, girl turn the horny down. Choose the other guys brother. Do something that doesn’t make you end up with either Pure Violence Incarnate or Pure Sadistic Evil Incarnate.

I will be finishing this book tho so. Yeah. I’m addicted.
