Fact
Althea loves her little garden snake whom she has now named Phoebus almost more than life itself, but down the road when she can afford it she would love to buy a python.
I dare you to make my muse happy.
The “break my muse” stuff gets old. Make them smile and mean it.
I don't cry; I sold my tear-ducts to an organ bank for cash two years ago.
Max Black (2 Broke Girls)
She had no idea what had brought her to Little Hangleton outside of a lead that she had gotten from her mother whom she was surprised was still talking to her. However all the letter said was that this was the home town of Althea's father. The witch was given no surname, or even a first name to go off of, but the village seemed small enough to possibly find a census dating back roughly twenty something odd years back.
She roamed around the village, occasionally breathing warm air on her hands to keep a chill at bay until she found herself inside a pub known as The Hanged Man. When asked what she wanted as an order, the witch stared at the muggle for a moment before shaking her head. "Irish coffee," she muttered as she gazed around the large room.
Resting her head in her hand, the brunette heaved a sigh as she closed her eyes deep in thought. Should she be asking any of the locals questions? Though the village wasn't a wizarding one so it wasn't like she could outright ask obscure questions.
Where do I even start? I have been given not even a name, just a vague lead to some east Merlin village.
//I shouldn't want threads of Thea meeting various members of the paternal family; will happily write starters.

Though she probably doesn't wish to, Althea is highly contemplating selling items from her old life in order to make rent and pay other bills, mainly dress robes and other items that she isn't as sentimentally attached to.
However one item she is rather fond of is a pendant of a silver serpent against onyx she had gotten from her mother on her seventeenth birthday that she wears every day.

Totally slytherin..need these now.
Anonymous asked: What would you do if I told you, you were being stripped of magical abilities- to learn how to deal, in case need be?
Slytherin: Yeah right.
Hufflepuff:
Hooker say what?
Ravenclaw:
You can try but you’ll never win.
Gryffindor:
Pssht. I could totally survive as a Muggle. I know all about eckeltricity and fellytones.
"Who was your friend?" she smiled before shrugging a bit. "Not much really, poor thing nearly got stepped on by someone, it had a cricket for breakfast." Studying the boy, the witch looked rather curious before holding out her hand.
"Oh I’m Althea by the way, and you would be?"
"Oh, uh—just somebody I went to school with," Dean replied evasively, not wanting to sound like he was boasting about being friends with The Chosen One. He scratched the back of his head, a nervous habit he had when he lied—although not one that he had ever noticed, of course, or he would have tried to suppress it—and offered a quick smile.
"I’m Dean Thomas," he said, shaking the witch’s hand firmly. "Nice to meet you. Is your snake going to be okay? I’ve got a friend who’s pretty good with animals—not the same one, somebody else, but she’s always taking home strays and stuff, so she might be able to help if it’s hurt." Dean wasn’t exactly the type of person that one would describe as an animal lover, but he didn’t like the idea of anything being hurt because of somebody’s carelessness, not even a snake.
The witch nodded softly, not wanting to press, especially if the boy didn't seem to give away anything. Though it was rather interesting that he did have a school mate with a similar ability. Those with the gift, or curse depending how one looked at it, were few and far between. And if his school mate had an experience anything like her own as a student, she felt some pity for the child.
"Pleasure mister Thomas," she replied before nodding in response to the question with a tender smile. 'Oh yes, he'll be just fine, a little spooked is all," she stated, watching the serpent coil itself on a nearby surface. "But thank you for your concern." Releasing his hand, Althea studied the male for a moment before settling back. "So tell me a bit about yourself? Are you a student or have you graduated yet?"
