\\ Hallo. Just so you know, I'm not dead lol, but I strayed away from TK fandom. My game won't allow me to play online and I'm not really seeing positive feedback regarding the current status of the game.
But I'd love to try reprise Leo, so if you want to write something short or have any ideas, my inbox is open!
Adams cracks a small smile. Kid seems to have a good heart. "I've heard things about this King of Iron Fist Tournament. Some good...many bad. If weapons are allowed, I may throw my hat into the ring." He offers his hand. "Call me William."
The king of iron fist tournament... No normal person should've joined that tournament. At least according to Leo's opinion. Worldwide situation was quite critical in that period, especially with the strenght Kazuya had gained after the disappearence of Heihachi Mishima. Since G Corp was the organiser of the tournament, and Kazuya was its CEO, taking part in it would've meant rising his influence on the on-going conflict... Besides, fighting with a weapon was an unfair advantage, but that was another case. ❝Why would you want to join it? It's not really a competition where sportsmanship rules, I hope you know it❞ After William introduced himself by offering his hand, Leo shook it and said: ❝Leonhardt, but call me Leo❞
William brushes his face, feels a small, raised line under his finger. It comes away with a thin layer of gray dust.
"This? It's an old scar. Nothing concerning."
Leo squinted his eyes a little, focusing on the bruise. It was indeed a scar, and a dried one. Nothing serious. Checking was better than keeping the doubts, and the other man probably appreciated the concern coming from the young one.
❝Phew, what a relief. I'm sorry if I bothered you, but I was worried and I immediately checked to see if everything was alright❞ ❝Are you from around here? I've never seen you❞
Continuing from X @ki-pulse
❝I apologise for saying this, sir, but I thought you didn't feel well and I wanted to make sure❞ He then added, by pointing his cheek with a finger: ❝You have something here. It looks like a bruise❞ He was afraid of being impolite by telling those things, and wondered whether he should've kept talking. Perhaps he was really okay and Leo simply got it wrong, but as he used to say: better safe than sorry.
Kazuya took those scant few seconds to recover his breath and guard. The younger fighter was good, he'd give him that. But not too keen on hearing him out. Something Kazuya held no blame towards Leo for. Despite the circumstances behind it. He still caused a son to lose his mother.
Kazuya looked upon Leo, his expression wasn't that cold contempt or others he once had. Nor was it the cockiness of the past war. Instead, there was a sense of regret.
"...The destruction and pain caused to the world. That I will answer for. But not with my life." Kazuya spoke in a plain manner before shifting back into his defensive stance.
"You're pain..Is a regret but I had no other choice in that. I can either explain my side or we can continue this struggle. But either way the truth will come out."
The things Kazuya were saying didn't make sense to Leo. What kind of truth was he talking about? Although he didn't want to hear any more thing coming out that bastard's mouth, he had to admit that Kazuya's look, as well as his aura, had changed: no more malice in his eyes, only regret. No more selfishness, only pain. But could a man like that change in a span of a day, even night? Leo wasn't of that idea but he agreed on one thing with Kazuya: seeking his death wasn't worth it. That man had to answer to what he had done to the world, once and for all. ❝You're right Mishima: you have to be brought to justice...❞
❝And I'm the one who will bring you in❞ Without hesitation, the young spelunker attacked Kazuya with a chain of strikes, with the intention of finishing him with a devastating one that would knock him down.

Guess whose birthday is today...
Happy new year everyone! I hope 2025 is gonna be full of happiness and opportunities! Have fun and spend the time with your dearest ones.
Merry Xmas to everyone. I'm a little late lol (where I live is already evening) but I hope you're having a great day!
Indeed, the devil gene within had veen purified away. There was only the man left. A man who wasn't being as aggressive as he used to be. Raising his arms to guard againt the strikes by Leo, Kazuya felt himself moving backwards from the strength of the blows. His injuries all but screaming in pain. He couldn't keep this up for much longer and knew it. Needing to defend himself, Kazuya fcused and switched styles. Something he hadn't done..publicly at least.
In trying to create distance. Kazuya didn't speak yet. He knew what he had done. But Leo didn't know why and deserved the truth. He preformed a few strikes that Jun had taught him so long ago.
Leo kept his guard on and did his best to block the upcoming attacks. He was able to block the first three attacks, but the kick took him by surprise and it landed on his stomach. It hurled the young fighter back and caused him to tumble on the ground. However, he was agile enough to recover istantly by grabbing the ground and landing on his knee. A huge cloud of dust arose from the brown terrain and Leo waited some seconds before looking at Kazuya with his eyes full of rage.
❝I won't let you ruin the world further! Do you hear me? You've already caused so much pain❞ He exclaimed as he stood up and clenched his fists.
Jin's lowered himself by the river, knees bending as he leaned closer to the running water. The moment Leo assured him it was clean, Jin scooped up handfuls without hesitation. Having spent most of his life in the wilderness of Yakushima, he was well accustomed to drinking from natural springs. Unlike Leo, though, he used to not bother with such meticulous checks for sanitation.
Bringing the makeshift bowl of his cupped hands to his lips, Jin let the cool water cascade down his throat. The refreshment was immediate, & as he swallowed, he realized how parched he had truly been — a thirst likely borne of the stress he had just endured. He eagerly dipped his hands in for seconds, feeling his body revive with each sip.
He stood upright, a renewed energy surging through him. Leo's reasoning had been spot on — despite his lack of expertise in spelunking or caves, Jin couldn't deny the logic behind it.
His voice brimming with hope, he said, ❝ Yeah, we won't have to die in here after all. ❞ His gaze drifted to the flowing current, brown eyes gleaming with determination. ❝ Whenever you're ready, let's follow it. ❞
Leo gave Jin a look with a determinated expression, by nodding to what he'd just said. As he turned around, he raised the torch and pointed it in front of him, by making the path clear. The river next them kept flowing with a soft and relaxing sound. Leo was walking slowly, checking frequently if Jin was behind him when he noticed that the walls of the area were covered with cave paintings. It was easy for him to say that they were ancient, considering the style and the faded colours.
❝Look at those!❞ He exclaimed. ❝They're amazing. They must be very old, but I can still recognise some shapes❞ Crimson, emerald and blue topaz were the colours involved in the creation of those drawings. He was amazed by that fact, since the most used colours in ancient times were red, yellow, white and black. He kept wondering how the artists were able to get those shades. ❝That's wonderful, don't you think?❞
Kazuya's memories were sparked by the anger in Leo's eyes. The same kind of anger that burned in his own for decades. A rare but never ending pain none should have to bear.
Perhaps it was those memories, realising why Leo's last name escaped him until the youth began to run towards him that made him far to slow to react. The kick connecting and sending him backwards with a pained grumt. Or perhaps it was the still healing pain in his limbs from his Devil and his Son's battle. Either way the result was the same. Kazuya hitting the ground and pain wracking through his body.
Sparks of electricity gather around his fist. As much as he felt guilt for making Leo suffer the same fate of losing a mother. He would simply laybdown and die because of traitorous woman's legacy.
"I will not die just yet. Not when the truth isn't out!" Kazuya spoke, determined to survive. But not hirt the boy any more then he already was. Getting up, he rushed forward to attempt to uppercut Leo. He had a feeling only at the battle's end would he be able to explain why he did what he did all that time ago.
Leo's attack pushed Kazuya backwards, forcing him to kneel on the ground. He stared at the other man as he regained his footing. Without hesitation, the fighter rushed towards Kazuya, ready to strike another attack. However, he did not expect his foe's reaction but he was quick enough to guard by placing both of his arms in front of him. The uppercut was able to stun the young man slightly; he could feel electric waves passing through his body but they were not harmful enough to kill him. Weirdly, he did not perceive any sign of the Devil Gene. Leo was literally fighting against a "human" man... except for the electric abilities. ❝What the hell are you wandering about?! The only truth here is that you're a murderer!❞ Leo shouted before striking a series of attacks.

Kazuya wipped around when he heard the sound of a male voice, instead of that of his beloved. Before he culd even respond to one question. The sight of a vaugely famillar young man stepped into view. One of the combatants of the two canceled tournaments before his own.
He wasn't surpised that the lad would asking why and how he survived. By all rights, Jin should have ended him. Even if wasn'tactually "him" at the time. Then again, he wad his mother's son. Straightening himself, Kazuya slowly held his arms up in a peaceful gesture. The older man was still recovering from his Devil and Jin's fight.
"By a show of mercy." Kazuya answered Leo's question. Displaying none of his previous pride or malice. Even that red eye was gone. What had Jin done to bring about such a change in one that used to be so cold.
"..I presume you have more qestions?" He asked, something about Leo tugged on his memories, yet the recovery made things foggy for Kazuya.
Leo stared at the other man shocked, still elaborating the discovery he'd made. The person he had opposite him was the one ready to sell the entire world to destruction and violence. Granted, it was Jin who had begun the war, but he was able to redeem himself and to change as a person. So if he managed to do that, why couldn't Kazuya do it as well? The young man could not find a lucid answer to that question as the person opposite him was also his mother's murderer... This fact made Leo furious; his head was full to the brim with rage thoughts, he couldn't think about anything else and it was as though his vision became red. His heart rate increased and he surrendered to fury. ❝Yes Kazuya, I have one last question for you...❞ Leo said as he walked towards him. He picked up the pace until he completely ran towards Kazuya. ❝When will you fucking DIE?!❞
With a leap, Leo attacked Kazuya by performing a jumping kick.

One good thing came out of the Battle of Yakushima: stray exotic particles from the devil's flames.
What the world witnessed in that fateful valley will be analyzed for years to come, but there's no time like the present. That explains the group of Russians talking amongst themselves. Hushed tones and code words, of course, all but drowned out by the growing rumble of an approaching helicopter to boot. Their excitement, though well-hidden, shows on their faces -- small smiles and stifled chuckles.
Except one.
Sergei Dragunov, still in fatigues and singed black body armor, stands apart from his soldiers. In his fingers holds a vial. Against the setting sun, a purple vapor writhes within.
Kazuya's attack was literally something they did not expect. Many soldiers perished disintegrated by the laser of that devil. Devil, because that was not a man. Leo fortunately had been out of the stricken field, and since he was unjured he began aiding hurt allies, bringing them in a safe place. Other members of Yggdrasil were doing the same, taking care of them with all of the medical supplies they had at their disposal. Before he could get back on the field, a noise captured his attention: he quickly turned his head towards the place it had originated. It was an helicopter. He was hopeful that someone had called for help or that an helicopter, looking at the fateful event, had decided to touch the ground to give assistance. The spelunker left his task temporarily to check it out, by walking at a fast pace. He crossed some bushes and walked through a wall of trees which were blocking the view. However, once he'd reached the landing spot, he did not expect to see a group of armed men, waiting to fly away from the island. Leo istantly recognised one of them: he had fought in the battle on G Corporation side, and was grasping a vial filled with a purple vapor. It didn't take too much time for the young man to realise that it was related to Kazuya's Devil gene. What did they want to do with that? The experiments and researches of the Devil gene did more harm than good, bringing chaos upon the world (and the death of his mother...). He couldn't engage in a fight with all of them, but he couldn't allow them to leave with that sample either. Leo briefly elaborated a plan: throwing something at the vial, so that it would break or at least cause the hand to drop it on the ground. The young man began moving stealthily behind the trees, hiding in bushes in order to approach to them without getting noticed. He reached a nice spot which was near them and that provided Leo some protection at the same time. Leo quickly glanced at the ground and picked up a rock; afterwards, he turned towards them and started to aim, by staying hidden. His target was behind another man, so he waited for him to move forward.

It hadn't yet been a day since Kazuya was purified, once by Jin, to rid him of Azzael, once more by Jun to purify Devil. Devil who had somehow survived the merge. It then proceed to possess him, causing his entire, carefully laid plans to fall into ruin. Worse still. Kazuya was powerless as it again, tried to kill Jin..
..How could he ever reconnect with his estranged son now? These were his thoughts as he left alone in the parts of Yakushima's forests that hadn't been destroyed in the conflict. Jun, his wonderful, ever patient and forgiving love. Was off to gather medical herbs that would aid in his recovery.
"..What a mess I've made." Kazuya sighed as he sat amongst the field's flowers. Though he intended to rule and fix the rotten world he inhabited. He did not want Devil's unending and indiscriminate carnage. How many now, shared in his own grief of losing a mother?
How many of his own people were gone now? Those he'd sworn to guide to a new, perfect world now laid dead, thinking their own employer viewed them as nothing but rabble. How many of the dead were the same soldiers he'd ordered to escape and not risk their lives against Akuma. Only to perish by "his" hands? All because he arrogantly believed that he had conquered a devil and assimilated it and it's power for his own.
..Perhaps his mother and father were right all along to wish death upon him..
Yet he had no more time to dwell upon it, as he swore he heard footsteps. Standing up and assuming it was Jun, he spoke up.
"Jun darling, is that you?"
The only noises that were dominating the forest were the chirping of the birds, the swish of the leaves and Leo's steps. It hadn't been a day since Kazuya's attack and the Yggdrasil team was severely injured. However, after the hurricane here's the rainbow: Jin came back victorious from the battle against Kazuya. The war stopped. The world was safe. That thought brought relaxation and peace to Leo's heart. He was enjoying the beautiful things created by Mother Nature, although he unfortunately had to postpone his moment of rest: he had a task to complete. The team appointed him and other allies to find additional medical herbs to heal the injured allies. The provisions found by the previous group were not enough, leaving some people without care. His small bag, enlarged by the stored medical herbs he'd picked, showed that the young man cared about putting together a larger supply than before. During his research, he suddenly heard a person calling for someone. He thought he'd been mistaken but after following the voice, he glimpsed a person through the bushes. ❝Who's there?❞ After crossing the cloud of bushes in front of him, the view became clear: in that wide field, surrounded by the trees, opposite him he saw Kazuya Mishima. Leo's eyes opened wide, shocked by that discovery.
❝What... how... MISHIMA?!❞ No... How... how can you be alive?
