@agent-troi I'm reading this book where one of the main characters loses his wife in the opening chapter and he just sounds like Nikola 😭
i love the juxtaposition of these two lines so much. they’re both flirtatious quips, but the first one comes from a place of false bravado and mild insanity brought on by prolonged isolation, and the second one comes from a place of genuine admiration and affection. it’s such a subtle yet perfect demonstration of his character development❤️
I think I made a post about this before but I can't find it and I just rewatched the episode and I'm thinking about it again and need to talk about
Solitudes is a fantastic episode from start to finish but my personal absolute favorite part about it is that even across the galaxy from each other (or so they think) Daniel and Sam are still able to work together to figure out the solution
The fact that they both say, "I'm missing something" just hit me for the first time today and YEAH that's what it's all about
Watching Small Victories, and excuse me, how does General Hammond just automatically call Carter’s lab when he’s looking for O’Neill?
He KNOWS
Even though historically speaking he didn't like jewelry, Nikola would buy this for Helen to remind her of him and she'd cherish it forever 🥺
this line belongs to jack 😭
Stargate SG-1, 05.22 Revelations
somewhere in the world right now samantha carter is excitedly over-explaining the scientific objectives of the test mission to the moon to jack o'neill all day while he pretends he doesn't understand a word and secretly loving evey minute of it
When your ex-vampire husband wakes you up in the middle of the night to yap about science so you threaten to shoot him completely forgetting that he is no longer immortal and can actually die now
I just put on The House with a Clock in its Walls randomly and idk what's going on between Jack Black's and Cate Blanchett's characters in this movie but I'm so fascinated by this dynamic 🤣
i’m so sorry😭😭😭😭
have some teslen textposts
Okay like we needed a weird body swap/Swan Princess Teslen episode where some abnormal pretended to be Helen to manipulate Nikola for ?????? reasons and he played into it, which made the real Helen (who was idk locked in a cupboard somewhere) jealous and also upset because how could he not know it's not really her???? Only to find out at the end that he knew the whole time and was just trying to manipulate them back because "oh Helen how could you think you're so unremarkable that I wouldn't be able to tell the difference between you and an imposter" and she's just like
We would’ve gotten another moment like Chimera’s “Do you really need to ask?” except reversed and I would’ve died.
Also the ways this could play out. Nikola plays along, then Helen escapes from the “cupboard” and Helen and fake Helen fight while Nikola watches thoroughly amused (a dream for him tbh).
Could’ve been a great episode, could’ve fit in any of the four seasons OR in season 5 as them kind of mending their relationship after Helen kissed him, went kaboom then was in denial for a while.
Okay honestly I don't know if I'll ever have the time or energy to write the "Nikola helps raise Henry and Ashley" AU but I have this vision of him taking over the bedtime routine. One night one of them asks how homing pigeons know how to find their way home, so he softly explains the science behind it but makes it sound all fantastic like something out of a fairy tale, so they're just staring at him in awe with stars in their eyes eating everything up as if he's telling them that Santa Claus really exists. And Helen is lurking outside the door getting choked up because it's so sweet and he's actually so good with them but she feels guilty for keeping him in this weird limbo space where they're technically co-parenting but he's not really their dad and they're not together because she's too afraid to sort out her feelings and oh no I've made myself depressed again 🤦
The dynamic with kids on Stargate SG-1 is so funny because Jack adopts kids but kids adopt Sam
