Now this reminds me of a story.
I was working at JCPenney back in the day. 2008, I believe. An old woman came in with four giant bags of merchandise that had belonged to her husband who had recently passed away. All these things were still in the bags. All of them still had their tags attached. And the receipt was still in the bag.
These purchases were from 1993.
Hereās the thing. JCPenney has a 90 day return policy.
That started in 1997.
The clothes in this bag were older than the return policy itself. Which means that we took back all these clothes. Every last one of them. It was like $500 of merchandise.
