Leaden Spirits || with Jack
Michael had been Ryan’s second in command for a while. It was…different than living in the Ramsey kingdom. Ryan wasn’t much for anything fun, always serious like he was always focused on his next move.
It was lonely, to be honest. Michael wasn’t able to talk to Ryan much and the jester was….well he wasn’t the same as Gavin. The guards were always stone faced and ignored the boy. The citizens always cowered in fear and never made eye contact with him.
Lucky for Michael there was one familiar face around. Jack the blacksmith would travel between the kingdoms and whenever he was in the Haywood kingdom Michael found himself sitting in the man’s hut watching him work.
Today was no different, he’d heard Jack was back in town and headed off towards the blacksmith’s workshop. Approaching it and knocking on the door hard enough to be heard on whatever Jack may be working on, he waited for the man to answer it.
Traveling was always enjoyment. Always new face and new landscape to visit. Well, his job didn't say traveling at first, always inside, far away from the fresh air. Maybe that's why he decided to help that much kingdom, for the long period of time he could get outside from all his little workplaces.
There was no doubt that in one of his lost life he was a dwarf, with his tough hands hardened by all those metals forged and without forgetting those wonders he created. Sounded about right, but it didn't mean he didn't need fresh air.
Jack posed carefully the hot metal twisted in cold water, wiping out droplet of sweat of his forehead. There nothing more beautiful that creating something as such as a sword. Maybe it was just a bloody mess for some, but for Jack it was art.
As the sound of knocking, the bearded man posed away the sword, still with his big tunic to cover him from the fire and his enormous gloves. He went in direction of the door and at the only glance to his visitor a big smile appeared on Jack's lips. "Michael?" He might sounded surprised by his unexpected visitor, but waited for the young man to show up at his door since he posed a feet in his workshop.
"Pleasure to see you again." Said Jack as he widened his door and went in direction of his post to continue his work. when he will look back the door would again be closed and Micheal sit down almost next to him. He was so used to it. "How are you? Did you cause any trouble?" Even if Geoff didn't seen to care that much about that, it didn't stopped him to ask him anyway. it was still the little kid of the king after all.
