His anxiety-soaked emotions have never listened to anything. It’s not like they’re going to start just because a counselor gave him a diagram of a window. His parents and Mirio say nice things about him all the time. He’s a mess anyway. 

But he can’t stay like this. He doesn’t want to be the person he’s becoming. If he follows the same trajectory, his future as a hero is bleak. As it is, he can’t even be a good friend to Mirio, let alone become the confusing something more that he constantly yearns for despite his every effort not to. 

 If he ever wants to do anything worth doing, he has to change.
