seconding this! this movie was absolutely incredible and i’m almost upset that it took me so long to finally watch it. HOWEVER! as soon as it showed the beast (who’s design i absolutely adore) i could NOT stop thinking about the Cleric Beast from Formsoft’s Bloodborne. i would LOVE to know if the creature designer for this film was inspired by this design, because some of the aspects are so uncanny. from the head shape, the shape of the horns, and even the way the monster’s chest had the light from it’s heart’s fire. it’s just. . . it’s very hard not to think the designer was influenced by this game. which makes me love the film even more!
