This is a Merlin AU, and I had a lot of fun creating it! It contains a lot of my favourite moments from Merlin and original ideas too :) I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it, I’m very proud of it since it’s the first long fic I’ve completed in a while <3

Since it's the Sanders Sides Anniversary today, seems like a good time to post the drawing of Patton that I finally managed to finish! 😄

The series and characters will always hold a special place in my heart, it helped me learn to accept myself and helped me develop new creative outlets 😊 Plus I'll always be grateful that I got to become friends with awesome people thanks to this series!

I LOVE the white strip in Patton's hair. It looks cool and maybe I'm reading too far into this, but the whiye strip is a definite Remus thing. The fact that Remus' is flaunted in front of his face while Patton has his tucked down and to the side, probably bearly visible in most cases, is very telling of character.

Both are imperfect, but Remus embraces it while Patton hides it, but its still there. But if he doesn't acknowledge it, he won't have to deal with it.

Its a shame that nothing can be hidden from Remus.

“Roman is Pride” can be really interesting when explored with nuance and depth and understanding of his character, but I feel like most of the time when I see it, it’s just people thinking that Roman is arrogant and selfish, which sucks.

like pride isn’t just self-absorption. pride is a feeling of sureness of your sense of self. there’s a reason why it’s called lgbtq+ PRIDE. because pride is the ability to express your identity. pride is what allows people to speak up for themselves, what allows people to view themselves as worthy of respect and dignity.

pride is a good thing! and it shouldn’t be treated like a sin just because the primary religion of american society deems it as such. there’s nuance!!
