I run a multi-fandom, multi-shipper blog. Meaning: I post and reblog everything. I'm well over 18; I couldn't care less what age you are. Moderate your own fandom experience; I'm not your mom. Unless I am your mom, in which case, go clean your room. I laugh at MDNIs. I laugh harder when they're posted by 19yos.

Most of my posts are operated on a queue. If I liked your post/art/fic but you haven't seen a reblog, give it a few hours.

If all you want is fic, that's cool. But you're better off subscribing to my AO3; I don't run taglists and I don't have a side blog for fic only.

Looking for what fics I read? All of them. Any of them. Yes, even that one. Wherever they're posted and accessible (though I prefer AO3 for anything longer than a few thousand words). Want me to read yours? Send me a link.

June 1 Drabble: She's Singing

A NAFTK prequel drabble. Eventual Bucky/Reader, General Audiences, 100 words exactly. This drabble meets the requirements for @marveldrabblechallenge June Challenge (New Teammate) and @societynsoelsscribbles June Jukebox Scribbles (Joy to the World by Three Dog Night).

Summary: Why is Bucky's new teammate singing?!?!?

She's singing. They're in the middle of a mission, and she's singing.

"If I were the queen of the world..."

Bucky flashes a look at Barton, who just shrugs—and annoyingly, sings along.

"…I'd tell you what I'd do…"

It's a good song! protests Barton, as his arrow sends the Doombot spinning.

Bucky turns to her, ready to tell her to shut it.

"…And make sweet love—"

She stops abruptly, staring at him in utter shock, the song stuttering on her lips.

"Um," she stammers, "Next target?"

"Yeah," chokes out Bucky, and tries to ignore Barton laughing behind him.

June 2 (Triple) Drabbles: Plain Sight

Stucky, Gen Audiences, pre-war 1930s. Idiots in love is the best trope. Three 100-word drabbles. These drabbles meet the requirements for @stuckygeekevents' June Pride 2026 event, for Track 1 (Hidden in Plain Sight).

Summary: Seriously, they are so dumb. What's a mom to do?

Bucky doesn't know.

"It's a fine idea," says Mrs. Barnes. "You'll keep an eye on each other."

Steve won't, can't look at Bucky. He remembers their tiny room, the single bed, the bathtub in the kitchen.

Eyes on Bucky? He won't have a choice. Nowhere to hide now.

Winnie ruffles Bucky's hair up; he scowls and smooths it down. "You'll both come home for dinner every Friday night."

"Yes, ma'am," says Steve, as if the thought of sharing a room, a bed, a life with Bucky doesn't scare Steve joyous.

But Bucky doesn't know.

And Steve will never tell him.

But Pop hides behind his newspaper, silent. Bucky's stomach is in knots, waiting for certain disapproval.

The idea of Steve, alone in Hell's Kitchen, churns Bucky's stomach more. Or worse—sharing that rat-trap with any other guy.

"Home for dinner, every Friday," adds Ma.

Bucky's stare could set the paper on fire by the time George turns the page and speaks. "Stop mothering them, Win. They'll be fine."

Bucky stares in disbelief… and hope.

If George can accept this new normal, maybe…

But Steve doesn't know.

And Bucky will never tell him.

Not that Bucky nor Steve look at each other now; Winnie could laugh or knock their heads together. She settles with ruffling Bucky's hair; he scowls and keeps his anxious gaze on George.

They're grown, they need freedom, Winnie had said earlier. Don't disapprove just because you don't like it.

"Stop mothering them," says George. Winnie smiles, satisfied.

Alone, together, maybe Bucky and Steve will see what she has.

They don't know she knows.

And Winnie won't be the one to tell them.

He hears barking before he sees the culprit.

It’s early, even for the city, but he landed an hour ago and if he hears one more word from Walker’s mouth it would be one too many.

A small white flash of fur rounds the corner, heading straight for him. Despite being awake for over thirty-six hours, his hand snaps out just in time to grab the leash as it flies past.

The dog stops sharply with a disappointed yelp, but then obediently trots back towards Bucky.

“Running from something, little dude?”

The someone rather than something turns the corner a second later with a look of pure fury.

“No treats for you, Eric! No. Treats.” She yells.

She’s surrounded by more dogs.

Bucky does a quick headcount. Six. Plus the one still stood next to him.

Seven dogs.

“I don’t think you’re getting any more treats,” Bucky whispers to the little dog.

By the time the woman approaches, she’s breathless and the dogs are weaving a tangled mess of leashes around her legs.

“Hey, thanks! Eric thinks chasing rats is a better form of exercise than a dignified walk -” she scowls at the little dog who blinks at her in a way that Bucky can only describe as withering. “Don’t look at me like that, pal, you brought this on yourself.”

“He weighs about three kilos,” Bucky laughs.

“He’s got small dog syndrome, don’tcha Eric?” She takes the leash back and starts the untangling process. “I’m Clara, by the way.”

“Bucky. Good to meet you, Clara.”

She has bright eyes and a wide, contagious smile that makes him want to keep her talking by any means necessary.

He surveys the group of dogs who are, fortunately, getting increasingly excited about meeting him. “So who else do we have here?”

“Alright, roll call,” Clara grins. “You’ve met Eric, my little Jack Russell escape artist slash rat-catcher, this gorgeous lady is Gloria - a former show dog. She’s a Sheltie, or a Shetland Sheepdog if we’re being formal. And Gloria is very dignified, so we do like to be formal.”

“Hi Gloria,” Bucky stoops to run a hand through Gloria’s long coat.

Clara moves on. “This is Bruno, Bruno is a German Shepherd who still thinks he’s a teeny tiny puppy - he ignores the fact that he weighs ninety pounds whenever he wants to sit on your lap.”

“Morning Bruno -” Bruno barks gruffly, then thrusts his head into Bucky’s palm.

“Miso is a Pomeranian, she has zero boundaries and will steal the food right out of your mouth as you take a bite.”

“Wow. That’s kinda rude, Miso.”

“Eh, she’s working on it. This is Maxie the Marmalute, a big boy who’s shyness belies his size -”

Bucky stares.

“Uhh, Malamute. He’s a Malamute.” Clara stammers, correcting quickly. “He’s orange, I can’t help it. Anyway, Maxie has a lot of feelings, he's a hugger.”

Maxie leans into Bucky’s leg. “Hey buddy.”

Clara points at the bulldog trying to bite Bucky’s boot. “This is Otis. He thinks walking is optional and will lay down if he disagrees with the direction we’re taking. Including right in the middle of the intersection during rush hour. Believe it or not, he’s harder to move than Maxie.”

Otis huffs loudly then takes another attempt at Bucky’s shoelaces.

“And finally,” Clara says, gesturing over to a silky, pale greyhound, “this is Lady Catherine.”

“Lady?”

“Retired racer,” her voice drops to a whisper, “she and Gloria don’t always see eye to eye, but they’re too polite to fight about it.”

“So that's all the dogs, huh? And how about you?”

“Well… Like I said, I'm Clara,” she shrugs. “Believe me, the dogs are way more interesting.”

Eric chose that exact moment to yank his leash again, barking angrily at a bodega for daring to open its shutters.

Clara staggers half a step as three of the other leashes also pulled toward the sound.

“And that,” she says through clenched teeth, “is my cue to keep moving before a stranger dares to leave their apartment.”

She glances at Bucky, then at the dogs who have gone around him, between them and back around her in a complicated loop that seems to only move him closer to her.

“Congratulations,” she said, trying to untangle them, “looks like you’re coming too.”

The pack lurches forward while Clara and Bucky trade leashes and unravel themselves.

Bucky falls into step beside Clara before he really thinks about it.

“You do this every morning?” he asks.

“Twice a day,” she says cheerfully. “The afternoon shift is mostly chilled out labs and a very judgemental dachshund called Norma. She hates school buses.”

She glances over as they walk, at Bucky holding onto Maxie and Lady.

“You look like you haven’t slept.”

“I just got off work.” He admits.

“Ah,” she nods. “One of those jobs. Saving the world, right?”

He tries not to look surprised that she knows who he is.

“Yeah. It's been a rough couple of days.”

“I'll say,” she agrees readily. “But this is new -”

He looks at Maxie who has yet to leave his side.

“Looks like we're friends.”

“Maxie doesn't just make friends, he makes lifelong emotional connections.”

“I better not let him down then,” Bucky says sincerely. “Seven dogs seems like a lot?”

Clara shrugs

“Dogs make sense,” she tells him. “They tell you exactly what they want. People… not so much.”

At the corner of the block, she takes back Maxie and Lady.

“This is where I lose half the group to their respective owners.”

She sounds a little disappointed. Bucky knows he is.

“Thanks for catching Eric earlier.”

Eric barks proudly at hearing his name.

“Do you… do you come through here often?” she asks shyly.

Bucky looks at the dogs.

At Clara.

“I could.”

“Good,” she says, as Otis tries to drag her into a bush. “We’re here every morning.”

Seven dogs, Bucky thinks. What’s one more?

Watching him work a room was almost as torturous as his foreplay.

His dangerous charm, his sly smile, they usually meant trouble.

When you were the one under scrutiny it was worse, much worse. Bad enough - good enough? - that he could take you to the edge of all reasonable sanity with only his words.

When he sneered as you squirmed, pressing your thighs together as he spoke of the things he could do, would do, should do…

Oh, the shark, babe, has such teeth, dear.

Always circling, anticipating the next drop of blood.

Where it would land, who his next victim would be.

And it shows them pearly white.

You couldn’t help but want it to be you.

Nick Fowler always had a way of making you feel like the only one in the room. The only one he had eyes for.

Before you could look away, he looked up and caught you watching him.

Piercing blue eyes held yours.

He didn’t smile. He dismissed the person he was speaking to, and stalked across the room toward you.

You locked your knees.

His walk, the confident swagger of a man who knew he had you exactly where he wanted you.

Or maybe not quite. Not yet, at least.

But he knew he would.

Your body agreed, a rush of heat flooding your body.

“There's my girl,” he grinned wolfishly, drawing closer. “Having fun?”

“Watching you decide who's next? Of course.”

His grin sharpened. He liked that. He always liked that.

He leaned in close enough so that only you could hear. “Careful, sweetheart. Could be you.”

You smiled into your glass.

You hoped so.

I think I've forgotten why I followed at least half of the people on my dash; it's just more variety for the tumblr ecosystem. Besides, half the reason I find new fandoms or shows or books or whatever are because someone talked about it here. If variety be the spice of life, I hope I stay delicious. 😋

(I'm going to guess you followed me initially for Yuuri on Ice, though, since Viktor is your icon. Do you think all those new pics and whatnot mean anything? I don't, but it will be a very pleasant surprise if I'm wrong.)
